Cameroon requires a visa and gives none at the airport. UK government advice says you cannot get a visa on arrival at Yaounde or Douala, so the e-visa has to be approved before you board in Dubai. We check the route for your passport and prepare the online application.
What the source says
The UK page speaks to British travellers. We read it for the steps only.
| Item | What it says |
|---|---|
| Visa | Required |
| Visa on arrival | Not available at Yaounde or Douala |
| E-visa | Apply online, some users report technical problems |
| Land or sea arrival | Physical visa from a Cameroon embassy |
| Passport | Valid 6 months after arrival |
| Yellow fever | Certificate required |

Consulate in Dubai
The UAE foreign ministry lists a Cameroon Consulate in Dubai. We do not publish contact details. If the e-visa portal gives you an error, the consulate is the place to ask. This is also the office Cameroonians in the UAE use, so see the page on the Dubai visa for Cameroonians for the other direction.
Travel warning
The UK Foreign Office advises against all travel to the Bakassi Peninsula, the North-West and South-West regions, most of the Far-North Region and areas within 40km of the Chad, Central African Republic and Nigeria borders. It advises against all but essential travel to the North Region, Maroua, Limbe and parts of Adamawa. The page was updated in February. Douala and Yaounde are not in those lists.
What to prepare
- Passport valid 6 months after arrival
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Passport photo and a scan of the bio page
- Return ticket and proof of where you stay
- Emirates ID and residence permit in your hand luggage
- A printed copy of the approved e-visa. UK advice also tells travellers to make sure the officer stamps the passport on entry.
How it works with us
Share your passport copy and dates on WhatsApp or the form. We tell you whether the e-visa or a paper visa applies, quote one total, and file after you accept. Cameroon decides. We are a private visa service and not the authority.
On a refusal the government fee is lost. Before payment we write down the part of our own price that would come back, if any.
