A 30-day Dubai visa, also called the one month UAE visit visa, is a tourist entry permit filed by a licensed Dubai tourism company or airline. GDRFA charges AED 210 for single entry, VAT included, with no deposit, and states 48 hours to issue it. It suits a holiday, a short business trip or a family event of up to a month.

The 30-day visa fees

Option GDRFA fee With 5% VAT
30 days, single entry AED 200 AED 210
30 days, multiple entry AED 300 AED 315
Extra if you are already inside the UAE AED 500 + AED 10 + AED 10

The inside-country line only matters if you are in the UAE when the new visa is issued. Someone flying in from abroad pays the first or second row. Emirates sells the same visa to its own passengers at USD 90 for 30 days single entry and USD 136 multiple entry, VAT included, if you hold an Emirates return ticket.

What Dubai agencies charge

Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 340 to AED 800 for a 30-day single entry tourist visa (published prices of 8 Dubai agencies, checked ). For multiple entry the published range is about AED 473 to AED 1,500 from 7 agencies. Higher prices often bundle health insurance or faster handling. Ask what is inside the number.

The cheapest way into Dubai for a month

Work down this list and stop at the first line that fits you.

  1. Visa on arrival. If your passport is on the UAE list, entry is free and nothing needs filing. Check our UAE visa on arrival page.
  2. Just changing planes. For a stopover of 2 or 4 days, a Dubai transit visa costs far less than a tourist visa.
  3. A US, UK or EU visa or residence in hand. Indians and some other nationals can use a 14-day visa that ICP announced at AED 100. See Dubai visa with a US, UK or EU visa.
  4. Everyone else. The 30-day single entry tourist visa at AED 210 in GDRFA fees is the lowest-cost full tourist visa.

A 30-day multiple entry visa only makes sense if you know you will leave and come back. If you stay put, pay AED 210 for single entry rather than AED 315.

Documents you need

  • Passport scan, colour, valid at least 6 months from the day you arrive.
  • Photo on a plain white background, face clear, no sunglasses or cap.
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket.
  • Health insurance valid in the UAE for the trip.
  • National ID copy if your nationality is on GDRFA's list (it names Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan among others).
  • Emirates passengers: an Emirates ticket number and a hotel booking or a relative's tenancy contract.

Processing time

GDRFA quotes 48 hours. Emirates quotes about 2 to 4 working days and wants the request at least 4 working days before you land. Weekends and public holidays slow down any queue, so for a Friday flight do not apply on Wednesday. Once issued, ICP's visa page gives you 60 days from issue to enter.

Why 30-day applications get stuck

These are the problems that come up again and again with one month visas:

  • Photo rejected. A cropped selfie or a grey background sends the file back. Use a studio photo on white.
  • Passport too close to expiry. Six months from arrival, not from departure.
  • No insurance or a home-country policy that excludes the UAE. The policy must cover you in the UAE.
  • One-way ticket. A tourist visa needs proof you will leave.
  • An old overstay or an open case in the UAE. Clear it before applying.

If your plans grow past a month, apply for the 60-day Dubai visa from the start. One 60-day visa costs AED 315 in GDRFA fees, while extending a 30-day visa costs AED 600 plus VAT through a Dubai visa extension.

Tips for a smooth one month stay

  • Keep the e-visa PDF on your phone and a paper copy in your bag. At random eye screening at Dubai airport, a printed copy saves you AED 30.
  • The overstay fine is AED 50 a day, so check the last date printed on the visa before you book the flight home.
  • Children need their own visa. Some agencies price child visas lower: see Dubai visa for children.
  • Compare every fee line on the Dubai visa price page.

How it works with us

Message us on WhatsApp or use the form on this page with your passport scan and flight dates. A visa adviser first checks whether you really need a visa, or whether a cheaper route like a visa on arrival works for your passport. If the 30-day visa is right, you get one total price, confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. The team files it through a licensed tourism sponsor and sends you the e-visa as soon as it is issued. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa company. GDRFA or ICP makes the decision on every application.

A refused visa does not get its government fee back from the authorities. Your adviser puts in writing, before payment, which part of our total, if any, you would recover after a refusal.

How to get a 30-day Dubai tourist visa

  1. Rule out a free entry first

Check whether your passport gets a visa on arrival. If it does, you do not need this visa.

  2. Pick single or multiple entry

Single entry if you stay in the UAE the whole time, multiple entry if a side trip leaves the country.

  3. Send scans to the sponsor

A licensed tourism company or your airline files it. Send the passport page, photo, return ticket and insurance.

  4. Pay and wait about 48 hours

GDRFA states 48 hours once the file is complete. The e-visa comes by email.

  5. Print it and fly

Carry a printed copy. If you are asked for one at the airport eye check and have none, a copy costs AED 30.

Questions people ask

How much is a one month visit visa for the UAE?

GDRFA charges AED 200 plus 5% VAT, so AED 210, for a 30-day single entry tourist visa. A multiple entry version costs AED 315. Agencies add their own service fee on top, and Dubai agencies publish about AED 340 to AED 800 for the single entry visa.

Is the 30-day Dubai visa single or multiple entry?

You choose. Single entry ends when you leave the UAE. Multiple entry lets you go to Oman or another country and come back on the same visa while it is valid, for AED 315 instead of AED 210 in GDRFA fees.

Can I extend a 30-day Dubai tourist visa?

Yes. GDRFA extends tourist visas once or more, as long as the total stay stays within 120 days. The GDRFA extension fee is AED 600 plus 5% VAT, filed by an accredited tourism office.

Do children need their own 30-day visa?

Every traveller needs their own entry permit, children included. Some Dubai agencies publish lower child prices, about AED 100 to AED 299 for a 30-day single entry visa from 2 agencies.

What happens if I stay longer than 30 days?

ICP charges an overstay fine of AED 50 for each day past the permitted stay. It is paid before or at departure. An overstay on record can make your next visa harder to get.

Is a 14-day visa cheaper than the 30-day one?

For some passports, yes. ICP announced a 14-day visa at AED 100 for nationals of certain countries who hold a US, UK or EU visa or residence. Without one of those documents, the 30-day tourist visa is the normal option.
