The UAE 5-year multiple entry visa is a tourist visa for frequent visitors. You can stay up to 90 days each visit and 180 days a year in total. ICP lists AED 3,720 in total and GDRFA lists AED 3,713, both including a refundable AED 3,000 guarantee. You need a bank balance of USD 4,000 over the last 6 months and health insurance valid in the UAE.

Who the 5-year visa makes sense for

It pays off when your visits are regular and fairly long. Think of parents who spend a few months each winter near their children in Dubai, a consultant with a client in the UAE, or someone who owns a holiday flat and flies in several times a year. For a single holiday, the 30-day Dubai visa is far cheaper. For one long family stay, the 90-day Dubai visa sponsored by a resident is usually the better fit.

The two official totals: AED 3,720 and AED 3,713

ICP and GDRFA list the same visa with different line items, and their totals do not match. We show both. The figure you pay depends on which authority issues the visa, and fees can change, so check the live page before paying.

ICP line item Fee
Application AED 100
Issuance AED 500
Smart services AED 100
Guarantee (refundable) AED 3,000
Guarantee deposit fee AED 20
ICP total AED 3,720
GDRFA total, as shown on its page AED 3,713

GDRFA's breakdown also starts with the AED 100 application, the AED 500 issuance and the AED 3,000 guarantee, then adds Dubai charges such as the AED 10 Knowledge Dirham and AED 10 Innovation Dirham, and arrives at AED 3,713. The official pages differ by a few dirhams. The bulk of either total is the guarantee, which comes back when you follow the rules.

What Dubai agencies charge

Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 3,713 to AED 5,000 for the 5-year multiple entry visa (published prices of 2 Dubai agencies, checked ). One says its price includes the AED 3,000 refundable deposit; the other does not say. Ask any provider whether the guarantee is inside the quote.

The stay rules

  • 90 days per stay. GDRFA says a stay can be extended once for an equal period.
  • 180 days a year at most, counted from the date of your first entry, not the calendar year.
  • No carry-over. Days you do not use in one year are lost.
  • First entry window. GDRFA gives two months from issue to make the first entry, and that window can be extended by two months.
  • Overstay. ICP charges AED 50 a day, starting the day after the grace period ends. ICP does not state the length of that grace period. GDRFA says fines are collected when you leave and the guarantee is forfeited.

The 180-day cap is the rule that catches people. Keep a simple note of every entry and exit date. Our UAE overstay fine page explains how fines are worked out.

Documents

  • Passport valid at least 6 months.
  • Colour photo on a white background, ICAO standard.
  • Bank statement covering the last 6 months showing the USD 4,000 balance ICP asks for.
  • Health insurance valid in the UAE. u.ae says the policy must cover 180 days. See Dubai visa health insurance.

Processing time

The 5-year visa pages we read do not give their own processing time. ICP's general visa issuance service lists 2 days and GDRFA's visit visa services list 48 hours, so allow at least that, plus time for any query on the bank statement.

Why 5-year applications are refused or returned

  • Bank statement too short or too thin. Six months of history is the requirement, not a single balance letter.
  • Insurance with too little cover or not valid in the UAE.
  • A past overstay or an open violation in the UAE. Settle it before you apply.
  • Photo or passport problems. The same basics apply as on any visit visa.

Getting the guarantee back

ICP refunds the AED 3,000 after the visa is cancelled or after you leave, as long as the visa is cancelled after departure and there are no violations. ICP's refund request costs AED 25. If you break the rules, GDRFA keeps the guarantee and collects fines at departure. Plan the cancellation when you know you will not use the visa again, not on your last trip by accident.

How it works with us

Send your passport copy and a recent bank statement on WhatsApp or through the form on this page, plus a rough idea of how often you visit. A visa adviser checks the 6-month balance, the insurance and your travel pattern, and tells you plainly if a shorter visa would cost you less. You get one total price, confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay, with the refundable guarantee shown on its own line. The team files the application and sends you the visa once issued. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. ICP or GDRFA decides every application.

If the visa is refused, the authorities do not return their non-refundable fees, and the guarantee follows their own refund process. Before you pay, the adviser confirms in writing what part of our total, if any, you would get back.

Questions people ask

How much is the UAE 5 year multiple entry visa?

ICP lists AED 3,720 in total and GDRFA lists AED 3,713. Both include a refundable guarantee of AED 3,000, so the part you do not get back is far smaller than the headline figure.

How long can I stay on the 5-year tourist visa?

Up to 90 days per stay. GDRFA says a stay can be extended once for an equal period. The total in the UAE cannot pass 180 days a year, counted from your first entry.

How much bank balance do I need for the 5-year UAE visa?

ICP asks for a bank balance of USD 4,000 over the last 6 months. Bring a bank statement covering that period.

Do unused days carry over to the next year?

No. GDRFA says days not used in one year do not carry over. Each year starts again at a maximum of 180 days.

Can I work in Dubai on a 5-year tourist visa?

No. It is a tourist visa. Work in the UAE needs a work permit and a residence visa.

When do I get the AED 3,000 guarantee back?

ICP refunds it after the visa is cancelled or after you leave, provided the visa is cancelled after departure and there are no violations. GDRFA says the guarantee is forfeited if you break the visa rules.

Is the 5-year visa cheaper than buying 60-day visas?

On the fees you do not get back, often yes for frequent visitors. One 60-day single entry visa costs AED 315 at GDRFA. The 5-year visa costs AED 3,720 at ICP, but AED 3,000 is a refundable guarantee.
