Living in Dubai does not, on its own, get you a Turkey e-Visa. Turkey's foreign ministry only counts a valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit. With one of those, listed passports such as Indian, Filipino or Bangladeshi get a one-month single entry e-Visa online at evisa.gov.tr. Without one, you need a sticker visa. UAE citizens go visa-free for 90 days.
The rule most UAE residents miss
Many people assume a UAE residence visa works like a US or Schengen visa for Turkey. It does not. The Turkish foreign ministry names the qualifying documents: a valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen state, the USA, the UK or Ireland. The UAE is not among them.
So the question is not where you live. It is which passport you hold and which other visas are in it.

The named airlines for Egyptians aged 15 to 45 are Turkish Airlines, AJet, Pegasus, Egypt Air and Air Cairo. A cheaper fare with another carrier can cost you the e-Visa.
Nepali ordinary passports without a qualifying visa get visas of up to 15 days from missions, according to the same ministry page. Other nationalities should read their own line on the ministry list, because the conditions differ from country to country.
Turkey visa fees
The official e-Visa fee is shown inside the application on evisa.gov.tr, once you pick your nationality and travel document. We have not read it for each country, so we do not quote a figure. Pay only on evisa.gov.tr, which is the official e-Visa site.
For the sticker visa, we have no verified official fee in AED. Ask the Turkish mission for the amount when you prepare the file.
What Dubai agencies charge
The two routes are priced very differently in the market:
- e-Visa help: Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 232.50 to AED 593 (published prices of 5 Dubai agencies, checked ).
- Sticker visa help: Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 400 to AED 710 (published prices of 5 Dubai agencies, checked ).
Some agencies list an "e-Visa without US, UK or Schengen visa" product. Read the conditions before you buy: the ministry page sets out who can get an e-Visa, and a UAE residence permit is not a qualifying document.
Documents
For the conditional e-Visa
- Passport valid at least 60 days beyond your stay.
- Your valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit. Keep it valid for the trip.
- Flight and hotel bookings.
- A card to pay the fee online.
For a sticker visa from the UAE
- Passport valid at least 60 days beyond your stay, with blank pages.
- UAE residence visa and Emirates ID.
- The visa application form and a recent photo.
- Bank statements and an employer letter or trade licence.
- Flight booking, hotel booking and a short plan of the trip.
- An invitation letter, if you visit family or a company in Turkey.
The mission's own checklist is the final word for the sticker visa.
Processing time
The ministry page does not give a fixed time for either route, and we have not confirmed one on an official page. The e-Visa is filed and issued online, so you can apply from home in Dubai. A sticker visa goes through a Turkish mission and usually means handing in your passport, so plan it well ahead of travel and keep other trips clear in that period.
Why Turkey applications fail
- Applying for the e-Visa on UAE residence alone. The application does not meet the conditions.
- The supporting visa has expired or ends before the trip.
- Wrong airline for Egyptians aged 15 to 45.
- Passport too short. Less than 60 days of validity beyond the stay.
- Thin sticker visa file. Weak bank statements or no clear trip plan.
