Chadians need a Dubai visa before they fly, because the UAE foreign ministry lists the Republic of Chad as visa required. We prepare the file for a tourist visa or a family visit. GDRFA charges AED 210 for 30 days and lists 48 hours for a complete application.
Which route
- Tourist visa: filed by a licensed Dubai tourism company, hotel or airline.
- Family visit visa: filed by a relative with UAE residence through ICP.
- Study or work: filed by the school or employer, not as a visit.

ICP's host salary tiers are AED 4,000 (parents, spouse, children), AED 8,000 (siblings and wider family) and AED 15,000 (friends). An uncle or cousin counts as third degree.

Chad's missions in the UAE
The UAE foreign ministry directory lists the Embassy of the Republic of Chad in Abu Dhabi, in the Muroor area, and a Republic of Chad Consulate in Dubai. We do not publish contact details. Chadians in the UAE use these for passport renewals and document legalisation. Ask them before you travel if your passport is close to expiry, since the UAE wants 6 months of validity.
Timing and flights
Many travellers from N'Djamena connect through another hub. The airline at the first airport asks for the Dubai e-visa at check-in, so the visa must be ready before the first flight.
