Mongolian passport holders need no visa before flying to Dubai. UAE MOFA lists Mongolia as visa free, with a free 30-day visit visa on arrival, and the UAE and Mongolia have signed a visa exemption memorandum. We file what is left: an extension at AED 100 plus AED 500, family visas and residence routes.
Two layers of rules
The airport rule. The MOFA exemption page, read on , shows Mongolia as visa free with a free visit visa on arrival for 30 days.
The agreement. A UAE and Mongolia memorandum on mutual visa exemption took effect on . The news report we read says Mongolian citizens holding diplomatic, official and regular passports are exempt from a visa to enter the UAE. It gives no stay length, so plan on the 30 days from the MOFA list and check anything longer with us.
The other direction
UAE MOFA announced that Emirati citizens with all types of passports are exempt from pre-entry visas to Mongolia, from 15 May, with a maximum stay of 30 days.
An embassy for Mongolians
Mongolia has an ambassador to the UAE, received in Abu Dhabi according to a news report. We did not find a Mongolian government page that sets out the consular services, so we do not describe them. Ask the embassy directly about passports and notarised papers.
Getting past day 30
