Senegalese citizens need a UAE visa before they fly. The UAE foreign ministry lists Senegal as visa required, so there is nothing to buy at the airport. For a trip, a licensed Dubai tourism company files a GDRFA tourist visa at AED 210 for 30 days. A relative with UAE residence can sponsor you instead. The e-visa comes by email.

Government charges
GDRFA lists AED 210 for a 30-day single entry tourist visa and AED 315 for 60 days. Multiple entry costs AED 315 for 30 days and AED 525 for 60 days. Read in , VAT included.
For a sponsored visit, ICP asks the host for a monthly salary of AED 4,000 (parent, spouse, child), AED 8,000 (sibling, grandparent) or AED 15,000 (friend).

Where files stall
Most delays come from a passport that is about to expire, a ticket that does not fit the visa dates, a host who earns under the tier, or an old UAE overstay, which is fined AED 50 a day.
