A Sierra Leone passport must carry a UAE visa before the flight leaves Freetown. The foreign ministry's exemption list shows Sierra Leone as visa required, and there is no counter at the airport that sells one. The usual route is a tourist visa filed by a licensed Dubai company. Another is a visit visa sponsored by a relative with UAE residence.

Costs set by the authorities
GDRFA's tourist pages list AED 210 for 30 days and AED 315 for 60 days, single entry. For multiple entry the figures are AED 315 and AED 525. VAT is included. We read the pages in , and they list 48 hours for a complete file.
A sponsor must earn per month AED 4,000 (parent, spouse, child), AED 8,000 (sibling, grandparent) or AED 15,000 (friend), according to ICP.
Your embassy
The UAE foreign ministry's directory lists a Sierra Leone embassy under Ambassador Rashid Sesay. The address field on that page was incomplete, so this page gives no location. Use the embassy for Sierra Leonean matters. A UAE tourist visa is not issued there.
A report in the Sierra Leone Telegraph says President Bio met citizens in the UAE during the Dubai expo and told them to obey local law. It is a press report, not an official text.
