Turkish citizens need a UAE visa issued before they fly to Dubai. There is no visa on arrival for a Turkish passport. Most visitors use a 30-day tourist visa that a licensed Dubai tourism company files with GDRFA: the government fee is AED 210 and GDRFA states 48 hours. A relative living in the UAE can sponsor a visit visa instead.
Why there is no visa on arrival for Turkiye
On the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa checker, the card for the Republic of Turkiye reads Visa Required. Turkiye is also missing from both Emirates visa on arrival lists.
The rule follows your passport, not the city you fly from. A Turk living in Istanbul, Germany or the Netherlands needs a visa in advance either way. The ICP visa for holders of a US, UK or EU visa or residence is limited by nationality. Turkiye is not on it, so our Dubai visa with a US, UK or EU visa page does not apply to you.
You may find old posts about a pause on UAE visas for Turkish citizens. In media reported a circular that stopped new visas for 13 countries, Turkey among them. The UAE never confirmed it, and we found no current official restriction on Turkish passports. The standard routes below are open.

Emirates sells its own visas to passengers holding an Emirates return ticket: US$90 for 30 days single entry. A relative's visit visa has its own fee lines and a refundable guarantee, set out on the family visit visa page.
What Dubai agencies charge
Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 340 to AED 800 for a 30-day single entry tourist visa (published prices of 8 Dubai agencies, checked ). For 60 days single entry the range is about AED 535 to AED 1,200 (8 agencies, same check). These include the GDRFA fee plus each agency's charge. With us you get one total price, confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
Documents checklist
- Turkish passport valid at least 6 months from the date you enter the UAE, machine readable
- Colour photo to ICAO standard: white background, no hat, no sunglasses
- Clear scan of the passport photo page
- Return or onward ticket
- Health insurance valid in the UAE
- Hotel booking, or the host's tenancy contract
- For a relative's visit visa: proof of the relationship and the sponsor's residence and salary papers
- For the GCC route: your GCC residence permit showing the profession
GDRFA asks some nationalities for a national ID copy as well. The ones it names are Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, not Turkiye.
Processing time
GDRFA states 48 hours for a tourist visa once the file is complete. ICP states 2 days for its visit visas. Emirates says about 2 to 4 working days and asks you to apply at least 4 international working days before arrival. A rejected photo restarts the clock. The visa reaches you by email. You must enter within 60 days of issue.
Why Turkish applications come back
- Photo not to standard. Shadows, a coloured wall or glasses get the file returned.
- Passport short of 6 months. Renew at home before you apply.
- No UAE-valid insurance. A Turkish travel policy that does not name the UAE may not be accepted.
- Sponsor below the salary tier. ICP asks AED 4,000 a month for a parent or child, AED 8,000 for a sibling and AED 15,000 for a friend.
- Missing documents. GDRFA cancels a request if missing papers are not added within 30 days.
More on this in why Dubai visas get refused.
Tips for Turkish travellers
- Choose multiple entry if you will hop to Oman or back to Istanbul mid-trip. Single entry ends when you leave.
- Print the e-visa. At random eye screening in Dubai airport, a printed copy costs AED 30 if you have none.
- Frequent business visitors can compare the 5-year Dubai visa.
- Leave on time. A visit visa overstay costs AED 50 a day.
How it works with us
You send the Turkish passport page, a photo and your travel dates on WhatsApp or through the form on this page, and tell us if someone in the UAE is sponsoring. A visa adviser checks which route fits: tourist, family visit, GCC resident or transit. You get one total price before you pay anything. Our processing partners type and file the application with GDRFA or ICP, chase any extra document request, and send you the e-visa when it is issued. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, not a government office. GDRFA or ICP decides every application.
If the visa is refused, the authorities do not give back their government fee. Before you pay, the adviser tells you in writing which part of the total, if any, you get back after a refusal.
