An Uzbek passport gets a free 30-day stay on arrival in Dubai. Book the flight, carry a passport valid 6 months, and plan any longer visit before day 30.

Visa on arrival, 30 days

Last updated

Uzbek citizens do not need a visa for a short trip to Dubai. You get a free 30-day stay when you land, as long as your passport is valid for at least 6 months from entry. Staying longer, bringing a parent for a few months or moving for work needs a separate permit, filed with GDRFA or ICP before your 30 days run out.

A rule that changed recently

This rule is recent. Before it, Uzbek passports needed a visa arranged before travel, and older pages online may still say so. They are out of date.

The UAE approved visa-free travel for Uzbekistan in . The National, citing WAM, reported that it took effect on , for stays of up to 30 days for tourism, business and short visits. Kun.uz reported . The one-day gap does not matter for travel now, but it shows why you should check the live pages rather than old posts.

Today the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs card for Uzbekistan reads Visa Free, and Emirates puts Uzbekistan on its 30-day list, stamped free of charge.

What the 30 days cover

The agreement, as reported, is for tourism, business and short visits. That fits what a visit permit is for: holidays, family, meetings, trade fairs. Taking up a job is different. Your employer must arrange a work entry permit and residence, and the move is a status change with its own fees. Our change visa status in the UAE guide covers that step.

No UAE page we read says whether the 30-day stamp is multiple entry for Uzbek passports, or how soon you can come back after leaving. If you plan two trips close together, check with ICP or your airline.

Bringing a relative for longer

If a parent, son or daughter lives in the UAE, that resident can sponsor a visit visa for 30, 60 or 90 days, which beats a string of short trips. Fees per visitor:

Fee line (ICP) Single entry Multiple entry
Application AED 100 AED 100
Issuance, per month AED 100 AED 200
Smart services AED 100 AED 100
Refundable guarantee AED 1,000 AED 2,000
Guarantee deposit fee AED 20 AED 20

Source: ICP visit visa issuance page, checked .

GDRFA in Dubai prices it differently: AED 200, AED 300 or AED 400 plus 5% VAT for 30, 60 or 90 days single entry, a AED 1,000 deposit, and medical insurance of AED 40, AED 60 or AED 90. If the visitor is already in the UAE on the 30-day stamp, GDRFA adds AED 500 + AED 10 + AED 10 for issuing from inside.

Who can sponsor whom

ICP sorts relatives by degree. First degree is father, mother, spouse, son or daughter: salary from AED 4,000 a month. Second degree is siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, third degree is uncles, aunts and cousins: AED 8,000. A friend needs a sponsor earning AED 15,000.

Emirates uses another table for visas sold with its tickets: AED 4,000 for spouse, children and parents, AED 5,500 for siblings, AED 7,000 for siblings-in-law and AED 10,000 for friends and other relatives. The two do not match. The route you file through decides which applies.

What Dubai agencies charge

A 90-day visit visa issued without leaving the country, status change included, is published at about AED 2,850 to AED 5,500 (published prices of 2 Dubai agencies, checked ). A 30-day tourist visa extension inside the UAE is about AED 1,100 to AED 1,200 (3 agencies, same check). With us, one total price is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.

Documents checklist for a sponsored visit

  • Uzbek passport with at least 6 months of validity, plus a clear scan
  • Recent photo on a white background
  • Sponsor's passport and UAE residence visa
  • Sponsor's salary certificate or employment contract
  • Proof of relationship, such as a birth or marriage certificate
  • Health insurance valid in the UAE
  • The sponsor's tenancy contract or hotel booking

Processing time

GDRFA states 48 hours and ICP 2 days, counted from a complete file. If the visitor is already in Dubai on the 30-day stamp, file at least 7 days before day 30.

Why sponsored visits get refused or returned

  • The sponsor's salary is under the tier for that relative.
  • The relationship document is missing or unclear.
  • The visitor's passport drops below 6 months during the stay.
  • Insurance does not cover the UAE.
  • Papers asked for later are not added within 30 days, so GDRFA cancels the request.

Overstay and the guarantee

An overstay is AED 50 a day. It also blocks the sponsor's guarantee: ICP refunds it only after the visa is cancelled or the visitor leaves with no violations. The refund service itself costs AED 25. See UAE overstay fine for checking and paying fines.

How it works with us

Send the Uzbek passport page and tell us the plan: a longer stay for someone already in Dubai, or a family visit from Tashkent or Samarkand. Use WhatsApp or the form on this page. A visa adviser checks the sponsor's salary against the tier and suggests the visa length that fits. You get one total price before paying. Our processing partners file with ICP or GDRFA, deal with any request for more papers, and email the visa once issued. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service; ICP or GDRFA makes the decision.

Refused applications do not get their government fees back from the authorities. Before any payment, your adviser confirms in writing which part of our total, if any, is returned on a refusal.

Official sources

The full sponsor process is on the Dubai family visit visa page, and the long version on the 90-day Dubai visa page.

How a UAE resident sponsors an Uzbek relative for a longer visit

  1. Check the sponsor's salary

ICP sets AED 4,000 a month for parents, spouses and children, AED 8,000 for siblings, grandparents and cousins, and AED 15,000 for friends.

  2. Choose the length

30, 60 or 90 days, single or multiple entry. Multiple entry has a higher monthly fee and guarantee.

  3. Collect the papers

Relative's passport and photo, the sponsor's residence visa and salary proof, and a document that shows the relationship.

  4. File and pay the guarantee

The sponsor files through ICP or GDRFA and pays the refundable guarantee with the fees.

  5. Get the guarantee back

After the visitor leaves with no violations, the guarantee can be claimed back.

Questions people ask

Do Uzbek citizens still need a visa for Dubai?

When did visa-free travel to the UAE start for Uzbekistan?

My son works in Dubai. Can he bring me for three months?

Yes, if he meets the salary level. A UAE resident can sponsor a parent on a visit visa of 30, 60 or 90 days. ICP asks for a monthly salary of at least AED 4,000 for parents, plus a refundable guarantee.

Can an Uzbek visitor start working in Dubai on the 30-day stay?

ICP counts uncles, aunts and cousins as third-degree relatives. The sponsor must earn at least AED 8,000 a month. Emirates uses its own table for visas sold with its tickets, so check which route you use.

What happens if an Uzbek visitor stays past 30 days?

Each extra day costs AED 50. The fine is paid before or at departure, and you must leave or move onto a new permit after paying.
