Ghana now takes visa applications online. Its Immigration Service portal charges a flat $260 for the standard tier, processed within 96 hours, whatever your nationality. Living in the UAE does not decide your route. Your passport does, and the portal sorts travellers into visa free, ETA or eVisa.
What is new
On Ghana's president launched the e-visa portal. The ministry said manual procedures were being replaced and that holders of African passports would not pay visa fees from that day. When we checked, a notice said the Express and Priority options were unavailable, so only Standard is open.

Documents
- Passport with 6 months beyond your departure from Ghana and 3 blank pages
- Recent photo, plain light background, about 3.5 x 4.5 cm
- Confirmed flight booking out
- Hotel or other accommodation proof for the whole stay
- Bank or card statements for the last 3 months
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- A host letter and the host's ID or residence permit if you stay with someone
Where UAE residents fit
Your UAE residence is only your home address here. The Ghana mission in Abu Dhabi points applicants to the same e-Visa link and to online passport services, and we found no counter visa service described on its page. So the portal is the route to plan on.
How it works with us
We read the eligibility checker for your passport, build the application and check each file before you upload it. Photo size and an old bank statement are the usual rejections. You get a single price before we start. We are a private visa service, and the Ghana Immigration Service decides. If the visa is refused, the government fee is not paid back.
