We check your route and prepare the V-1 file

Last updated

A UAE residence permit does not decide your Marshall Islands entry rule, your passport does. Some nationals get visa on arrival or a waiver. Everyone else needs a visa before travel. We check your passport against the rule and prepare the V-1 visitor visa file from Dubai. The V-1 costs USD 100 and allows up to 90 days.

What the immigration page says

The Republic of the Marshall Islands immigration page, read on , says citizens of countries that have diplomatic relations with the Marshall Islands are eligible for visa on arrival or a waiver. It names Pacific Islands Forum members, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Korea and EU member states. All other nationalities must get a visa before travelling, with the application lodged while outside the country.

The list of eligible countries sits in a separate PDF that we could not open. So we do not say whether a UAE national or any specific resident passport is on it.

Documents

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond the day you leave
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Proof of enough money for the stay
  • The completed visa application form
  • Papers that show why you are going

Processing does not begin until all required documents are received, so incomplete files only add delay.

Where the file goes

The form is submitted to the immigration offices in Majuro or Ebeye. We found no Marshall Islands embassy or consulate in the UAE, so there is no local counter to visit. We prepare the file, check each document against the list and send it. Tell us your dates early, and settle the visa before you book anything non-refundable.

Compared with a nearby island state

The Federated States of Micronesia has a different rule, with no visa for 30 days or less in the advice we read. See the Micronesia visa for UAE residents page. For the wider list, use visas from Dubai.

How it works with us

You send the passport copy and dates by WhatsApp or the form on this page. An adviser checks the route for your passport, tells you if the V-1 is needed and quotes one price before you commit. The team prepares the file and follows it. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. Marshall Islands immigration decides the visa.

The USD 100 fee is non-refundable. If the file is refused, your adviser has already told you in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back.

Questions people ask

Do UAE residents need a visa for the Marshall Islands?

It depends on the passport, not on UAE residence. The immigration page says citizens of countries with diplomatic relations get visa on arrival or a waiver. All other nationalities must get a visa before travelling. We could not open the country list, so an adviser checks your passport.

How much is the Marshall Islands visitor visa?

The V-1 visitor visa costs USD 100, non-refundable, for up to 90 days. The fee is waived for people eligible for visa on arrival. There is also a USD 20 departure fee listed for visitors.

Where do I apply for a Marshall Islands visa from Dubai?

The immigration page says the application is lodged while you are outside the Marshall Islands. The form goes to the immigration offices in Majuro or Ebeye. We found no Marshall Islands mission in the UAE, so we prepare and send the file for you.

What documents does the Marshall Islands ask for at entry?

A passport valid at least 6 months beyond departure, a confirmed return or onward ticket and proof of enough funds for the stay. Your name must not be on an exclusion list. Processing does not start until all documents are received.

Can Indian or Filipino UAE residents fly to Majuro on a visa on arrival?

We cannot say. Visa on arrival depends on the country list, which we could not open. Until an adviser has checked your passport against it, treat it as a visa to be arranged before you travel.

Can I work in the Marshall Islands on a V-1 visa?

No. The V-1 covers tourism, family visits, short stays, research and volunteer services. A business visa B-1 costs USD 300 and is for holders of an approved Foreign Investment Business License.
