A Spain visa from Dubai goes through BLS International, not VFS. You need it if your passport requires a Schengen visa. Book free on the BLS Spain UAE site, then hand in your file at I Rise Tower, 27th floor, Barsha Heights. The fee is EUR 90 for adults, paid in cash. BLS says most decisions come within 15 working days, at most 45 days.

A lot of people search "vfs spain dubai" or "spain vfs dubai". There is no VFS centre for Spain here. If a site offers you a Spain slot "at VFS", check what it is actually selling.

The visa fee is paid in cash at BLS. BLS also charges its own service fee. Its amount appears in agency guides, but we could not read it on an official BLS page, so we leave it out. Check it on the BLS site before you go.
What Dubai agencies charge for Spain
For Spain, published agency prices start lower than for most of the group: about AED 225 to AED 1,200 (published prices of 3 Dubai agencies, checked ). These are service prices. Where the page lists inclusions, the EUR 90 visa fee is not one of them.
What BLS expects in a Spain file
- Passport with at least 3 months left after you exit Schengen and two blank pages, plus copies of old visas.
- UAE residence visa and Emirates ID. Spain's checklist sets the validity it needs after your trip; read it before booking.
- Spain's Schengen form, completed and signed.
- A recent photo in the size the checklist asks for.
- Medical insurance, EUR 30,000 minimum, covering every Schengen state.
- Return flight booking.
- Hotel bookings, or a host letter if you stay with friends or family in Spain.
- Bank statements for recent months.
- Salary certificate or NOC from your employer, with your leave dates.
- The visa fee in cash.
Booking and filing a Spanish visa
- Make sure Spain is your main stay. A week in Barcelona with two nights in the south of France stays Spanish.
- Register on uae.blsspainvisa.com and book a free slot at the Dubai or Abu Dhabi centre.
- Prepare the file in the order of the BLS checklist.
- Arrive for your slot between 09:00 and 15:00. Pay the fee in cash and give fingerprints.
- Collect your passport in the 15:00 to 17:00 window, or ask about courier return.

Processing time for Spain from Dubai
BLS gives two figures: most decisions within 15 working days, and up to 45 days in some cases. Working days are what count, so a file in on a Monday is unlikely to be back within the same two calendar weeks. In July and August, give yourself more.
Why Spain refuses visas
- Unclear purpose. No day plan, or bookings for only part of the stay.
- Doubts about return. Leave not confirmed, or a residence visa ending soon after the trip.
- Money that does not add up. A balance too low for the trip, or deposits that look borrowed.
- Wrong main destination. Spain as a cheap slot for a trip that is mostly Italy or France.
- Insurance gaps. Policy dates shorter than the stay.
A refusal comes with the grounds ticked on a standard form. That is your list to fix before you apply again.
Tips for a smoother BLS visit
Go early in the submission window. Bring cash, and some extra in case of a small change in the dirham amount. Bring photocopies of everything, as well as the originals. If your family applies together, book a slot for each person.
