A UAE visit visa is a short-stay entry permit. The cheapest full tourist version costs AED 210 in GDRFA fees for 30 days, or AED 315 for 60 days, with VAT included. Some passports skip the visa entirely and enter on arrival. Everyone else is sponsored by a licensed tourism company, an airline, or a resident host, and the application is decided by GDRFA in Dubai or ICP elsewhere.
The visit visa types
"Visit visa" is the search term, but the UAE has several different permits behind it. Pick by who is sponsoring you.

What the authorities charge
GDRFA lists tourist visas through an accredited Dubai tourism establishment at these rates, before VAT.

A relative or friend visit adds a refundable guarantee, AED 1,000 for single entry. The 5-year tourist visa totals AED 3,720 at ICP, and AED 3,000 of that is a refundable guarantee. For a side-by-side of every line, see Dubai visa price.
What Dubai agencies charge
Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 340 to AED 800 for a 30-day single entry visa (published prices of 8 Dubai agencies, checked ). For 60 days single entry the range is AED 535 to AED 1,200 from 8 agencies. These are agency prices, not ours.
Who does not need to apply
Check this before you pay for anything. Citizens of the other GCC states need no visa. Passports on the UAE visa on arrival lists get 30 or 90 days stamped free at the airport, and the lists can change. Our page on UAE visa on arrival has them. A short stopover is cheaper on a transit visa.
Documents
- Passport valid at least 6 months from entry.
- Photo on a plain white background.
- Confirmed return or onward ticket.
- Health insurance valid in the UAE.
- National ID copy for Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan passports.
- For a relative visit: the host's Emirates ID, tenancy contract, salary proof and proof of relationship.
Time and entry window
GDRFA states 48 hours for a tourist visa. The permit gives you 60 days from issue to enter. After that the stay clock is the visa length. Extending a tourist visa costs AED 600 plus VAT at GDRFA. The overstay fine is AED 50 a day, so read Dubai visa extension before you decide to stay on.
Common refusals
- A photo with a coloured background or a selfie crop.
- A passport with under 6 months left.
- No return ticket on a tourist visa.
- Host salary below the ICP level on a relative visit. ICP lists AED 4,000 a month for first-degree relatives, AED 8,000 for second and third degree, and AED 15,000 for friends.
- An old overstay or open case in the UAE.
