An urgent Dubai visa is a normal visit visa with faster handling at the agency. GDRFA states 48 hours for a tourist visa once the file is complete. Dubai agencies publish about AED 520 to AED 1,050 for an urgent visa, against AED 210 in GDRFA fees for 30 days. What you pay extra is a place at the front of the queue, not a shortcut around checks.
What "urgent" and "express" mean
The authorities do not run a paid fast lane for tourist visas that we can point to. The speed comes from the licensed tourism company that files it. A good urgent service does three things: it checks your documents before filing, so nothing bounces, it files at once, and it chases the file. A slow one only adds a fee.
Agencies label the same idea in different ways. One published agency page lists an express UAE tourist visa at AED 525 with "1-2 days", on the condition that you apply before a daily cut-off (18:00 GST on that page) and says times are indicative, slower in peak seasons or public holidays (checked ). That is one agency, so treat it as an example, not a market rate.

Before you pay for express, check these
- Do you need a visa? Passports on the UAE visa on arrival lists enter free. See UAE visa on arrival.
- Is it a stopover? A 48 or 96 hour transit visa is for people changing planes, and Emirates prices its transit visas at USD 10 and USD 49.
- Are you flying Emirates? Emirates says its own visa takes about 2 to 4 working days and asks you to apply at least 4 working days before arrival, so a same-week flight may need an agency instead.
- Is your file clean? Express cannot fix a bad photo.
What actually slows an urgent file
- A photo that is cropped or on a coloured background.
- A passport with less than 6 months left from the day you land.
- No confirmed return ticket.
- Insurance that does not cover the UAE.
- An overstay or open case from an earlier trip.

A realistic plan for a flight in two days
Count backwards from your flight, not forwards from today. You need the e-visa in your hands, printed, before you check in, because the airline checks it at the counter. Send the full file on a weekday morning and answer any question from the team within the hour, since a reply that waits until evening costs a full day. If you are inside the UAE on another visa, say so up front: a new visa issued inside the country carries an extra inside-country fee of AED 500 plus AED 10 and AED 10, and that changes the route.
Keep the passport page and the photo as clean files, not screenshots. If the first attempt is returned, ask what exactly was wrong and fix only that, so the second attempt does not bounce again.
When urgent is the wrong answer
If your trip is a week away or more, standard handling at GDRFA's stated 48 hours is usually enough and the AED 210 fee stays the main cost. If your trip is today and you have no visa, tell us your passport. A visa on arrival passport may need nothing at all, and a transit passenger may only need a short permit.

- Passport scan, valid at least 6 months.
- White background photo.
- Return or onward ticket.
- Health insurance valid in the UAE.
- National ID copy if your passport is Iraqi, Iranian or Afghan.
