The Central African Republic requires a visa, and the UK government advises against all travel to the country. We read the warning with you, check which visa route fits your passport, and prepare the file only if you decide to go. We could not verify any visa fee, so we give none.
The travel warning
The UK Foreign Office advises against all travel to the Central African Republic. It adds that "all but essential travel" is advised against for Bangui, including M'Poko airport. Its page was updated in May and mentions an Ebola outbreak declared in the neighbouring DRC. There is no British embassy in the country. That advice is for British citizens, so read your own government's page too. Travel insurance may stop covering you against such a warning.
The visa rule
UK government entry requirements say you must have a visa and should apply through the Central African Republic embassy in Paris. The page says requirements may change without notice. It is written for British passports, so it does not settle your case. A UAE residence permit is not mentioned as a way around the visa.
| Item | What the source says |
|---|---|
| Visa | Required, apply via the embassy in Paris |
| Passport | Valid 6 months after arrival |
| Yellow fever | Certificate needed at the border |
| Customs | Cultural artefacts need a declaration and export tax |

Consulate in Dubai
The UAE foreign ministry lists a Central African Republic Consulate in Dubai. It lists no embassy in Abu Dhabi. We do not publish contact details. Ask the consulate whether it handles visas for travellers living in the UAE, or whether you must go through Paris.
Who goes, and what to expect
Trips from the UAE here tend to be family visits, humanitarian work or business. Flights are limited and often connect through another African hub. Because your airline checks the visa at the first check-in in Dubai, get the visa before booking a non-refundable ticket.
What to prepare
- Passport valid 6 months after arrival
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Passport photo and travel dates
- Invitation or booking details for your stay
- Your Emirates ID and residence permit, which the airline may ask to see in Dubai
How it works with us
WhatsApp us the passport copy and your dates, or use the form. The adviser checks the visa route and the warning for the trip and quotes one total. The team prepares the file and follows it up. The Central African Republic decides every visa. We are a private service.
A refused visa means the government fee is not returned. We put in writing, before you pay, what part of our price comes back.
