Visa-free 90 days; we check, extend and file for relatives

Last updated

Barbadians do not need a visa for the UAE. The UAE foreign ministry lists Barbados as visa free, with a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival, valid six months, for up to 90 days in total. The Barbados ministry's own visa list says the same from its side: no visa for Barbadians going to the UAE, under a visa abolition agreement.

What the Barbados government says

The Barbados visa list revised shows the UAE as no visa required for Barbadians, with the remark "Visa Abolition Agreement established".

On the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade recommended that Barbadians delay travel to the affected areas until conditions return to normal. It asked people in the region to stay alert and to register with the authorities. It named the Embassy of Barbados in Abu Dhabi as the contact.

That was the advice when we read it. Look at the ministry site again before you book.

How long you can stay

The free entry covers up to 90 days in total. After that you either leave or extend. ICP lists an AED 100 application and an AED 500 extension fee, with tourist stays capped at 120 days. A day past the permit costs AED 50. The entry does not cover a job. Our extension guide has the steps.

Where we help Barbadians

  • A passport check before you fly: validity and damaged pages.
  • Starting an extension while the first entry is still valid.
  • Friends or family from the Caribbean on other passports, who may need a visit visa.
  • Pointing you to a work permit or residence if an employer wants you.

If a relative lives in the UAE

A resident relative can sponsor a longer visit through ICP. The sponsor needs AED 4,000 a month for a first-degree relative and AED 8,000 for a second or third degree. Read the family visit visa page.

How it works with us

Message your passport page and the days you plan to stay. An adviser confirms the rule and quotes one total for an extension or a relative's visa before you pay. The team prepares the file and follows it up. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service and ICP or GDRFA decides.

Government fees are not returned after a refusal. Before payment your adviser confirms in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back.
