If you hold a Lesotho passport, sort the visa out before you book. The UAE ministry marks the Kingdom of Lesotho visa required and offers nothing on arrival. The usual holiday option is a tourism company filing for you, from AED 210. Family in the UAE can instead invite you through ICP.

Lesotho's own side
Lesotho's foreign ministry says its Embassy in Kuwait is also accredited to the United Arab Emirates. The page lists no separate mission in the UAE. For passport questions or document legalisation, start with that embassy.
On the UAE side, the ambassador to South Africa also serves as non-resident ambassador to Lesotho. On he met a delegation led by the Principal Secretary of Lesotho's labour ministry. The UAE page speaks only of cooperation, so we do not read it as a job-visa scheme.
The ICP shortcut does not cover Lesotho
ICP's 60-day visa for people living abroad with a US, EU or UK visa or residence names only India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya and South Africa. Lesotho is not named. A Mosotho who lives in South Africa does not qualify for it on a Lesotho passport.
Routes to a visa
- A tourism company or airline, for a short holiday.
- A relative in the UAE, if their monthly salary meets the tier: AED 4,000, AED 8,000 or AED 15,000.
- An employer, for a job. A visit visa does not turn into a work permit.
What to gather
Your Lesotho passport, with six months of validity from the day you land. A colour scan of the photo page. One photo on white. A ticket back out of the UAE and insurance that covers you here. Visiting family adds the host's Emirates ID, visa, salary letter and a paper that proves the relationship.
