Cubans need a visa to enter the UAE. The foreign ministry lists Cuba as visa required, so it must be issued before travel. For a visit, a licensed Dubai company files a GDRFA tourist visa, AED 210 for 30 days. We prepare and check that file.
The waiver memorandum
OnCuba News reported on that Cuba and the UAE signed a memorandum on mutual visa exemption. The report names no passport type and no start date. The UAE ministry list shows Cuba as visa required. Until the ministry changes its list, plan with a visa.
Fees
GDRFA sets the tourist visa at AED 210 for 30 days or AED 315 for 60 days on one entry. Two entries or more for 30 days is AED 315. Source: GDRFA, checked .
Dubai agencies quote anything from about AED 340 to AED 800 for the 30-day visa (8 agencies, checked ). That shows the market and is not our price.
The Cuban embassy
Cuba has an embassy in Abu Dhabi. Its consular section sees people by confirmed e-mail appointment only, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00, according to the Cuban foreign ministry's mission page. Use it for Cuban passports and civil papers. For the UAE visa you need a Dubai sponsor.
What goes in the file
The file holds your Cuban passport (6 months left), a colour scan of its photo page, a photo on white, a booked ticket out and insurance that covers you in the UAE. If a relative in the UAE sponsors the visit, add their Emirates ID, residence visa and proof of the relationship. We read every scan for glare and cut corners, since a bad image is the simplest reason for a request to bounce back.
Where you will stay
A visit visa needs a sponsor or a booking behind it. A hotel, a UAE airline or a licensed Dubai tourism company can sponsor a tourist visa. A relative who lives in the UAE can instead sponsor a visit visa through ICP. Which one is cheaper depends on how long you stay, and we compare them for you.
How it works with us
Give us your dates and a scan of the passport. An adviser chooses the visa and writes down one total price, then we file it, deal with GDRFA queries and email you the e-visa. We are a private visa service, not the government.
When the authorities refuse a visa they keep the government fee. Before you pay, your adviser says in writing what part of our total would return.
