We handle extensions and family visas; CZ is visa-free

Last updated

Czech citizens do not need a visa for Dubai. The UAE foreign ministry lists the Czech Republic as visa free, and the Czech foreign ministry says you may stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period. We help when that is not enough: extensions, a spouse or child on another passport, and a move from visits to residence.

The 90 in 180 rule

The Czech foreign ministry's UAE entry page ties the exemption to an agreement between the EU and the UAE that took effect on . It says Czech passport holders may stay a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period. The UAE list adds that the stamp is a free, multiple entry visit visa valid for 6 months.

Two limits matter more than the headline:

  • It is not a work permit. The Czech page says the exemption does not cover stays for employment.
  • It is a rolling count. Several short trips add up. Keep your stamps and boarding passes.

What staying longer costs

Item Official fee
Entry on a Czech passport Free
Extension application AED 100
Each extension AED 500
Overstay fine AED 50 per day

What the Czech ministry says about travel now

The ministry's current UAE notice recommends travel only in absolutely necessary cases, because of the escalation of the conflict with Iran. Transit is allowed, but you should follow airline and airport information and security warnings. It also recommends the voluntary DROZD registration and travel insurance. These are the ministry's words and they can change, so read the page before you book.

Refusals and exit problems

The Czech entry page warns that you can be refused for earlier misconduct in the UAE or other GCC states, such as a crime, unpaid fines or a pending legal dispute. It also says a travel ban may stop you leaving. If you lived in the UAE before and left in a hurry, ask us to check your status before you fly back.

Czech embassy services in the UAE

The Czech embassy sits in Abu Dhabi. Its pages list no Czech office in Dubai. Public hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 15:00, by appointment only, and you must register by e-mail first. The embassy lists legalisation on set afternoons, passports and vital documents on other set days, plus translation and signature verification. Fees are paid by card or in AED cash.

Documents also cross the border one way or the other. Czech papers for use in the UAE are first legalised by the Czech foreign ministry in Prague and then by the UAE foreign ministry, because the UAE embassy in Prague closed on . The Abu Dhabi embassy handles UAE papers headed to the Czech Republic.

When a visit is not enough

  • A spouse or child on another passport: they may need a visit visa before they fly. Send us their passport pages and we pick the route.
  • Family living with you: a resident can sponsor a spouse and children. The salary rule and papers are in the family visa guide.
  • A job offer: your employer files the work permit. Read work visa Dubai before you resign anywhere.
  • Staying for years: the UAE residence visa guide lists the routes.

Living in Dubai and heading to Prague?

That is the opposite case, and it needs a Schengen file. See Czech visa from Dubai for the visa centre route. The Czech embassy says VFS Global takes the applications in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Our processing time and application form notes are on that page, so we do not repeat them here.

How it works with us

Tell us on WhatsApp, or in the form, when you landed and when you want to leave, with a photo of your passport page. The adviser counts your days in the 180-day window and says whether you need an extension, a new visa for someone with you, or nothing. You see one price first. After you agree, the team files and follows up. We are a private visa service. ICP or GDRFA decides.

If the authority refuses, it keeps its fee. Ahead of payment, the adviser tells you in writing what share of our total would be refunded in that case, if any.
