A Gabon passport needs a Dubai visa before you fly. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists the Gabonese Republic as visa required, so you cannot buy a visa at the airport. For a visit, a licensed Dubai tourism company files the visa with GDRFA: AED 210 for 30 days or AED 315 for 60 days, single entry.
The waiver report
During a state visit, a news report said Gabon and the UAE signed a deal scrapping visas for officials. The report added that it would be extended to ordinary citizens to boost tourism. We could not find the UAE text that did this. MOFA's list today still shows Gabon as visa required. Treat the waiver as officials only until the ministry says otherwise.

- If a relative hosts you: their Emirates ID, residence visa, salary proof and proof of relationship

Embassy
UAE state news reported that Gabon's ambassador to the UAE, Guy Rodrigue Dikayi, presented a copy of his credentials in Abu Dhabi on . We do not know of an embassy service that issues UAE visitor visas, and the UAE government says its own embassies do not issue tourist visas.
