Dubai Visa for Grenadians: Check Before You Book

Two official sources say different things about Grenadians. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists Grenada as visa required. A memorandum reported by the UAE's UN mission, signed on 22 November 2017, exempts ordinary passports from pre-entry visas. Until the ministry's page says otherwise, plan for a visa.

Why we do not assume

The ministry list is the one airlines and immigration officers use. An old memorandum does not help at a check-in desk if their system shows visa required. We cannot see why the two differ. Maybe the agreement never took full effect, maybe the list lags. Either way the safe advice is to confirm and hold the paperwork.

A Dubai tourism company, a hotel or a UAE airline can file a tourist visa. A relative with UAE residence can sponsor a visit visa instead.

The embassy question

We found no Grenada embassy in the UAE on official pages. The UAE is represented to Grenada by a non-resident ambassador from its UN mission, which also announced the visa memorandum. We therefore name no UAE office for Grenadian visitors.
