Lithuanian citizens do not need a visa for Dubai. The UAE ministry lists the Republic of Lithuania as visa free, and the entry rule is a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival, valid for 6 months, up to 90 days in total. That covers a holiday or a visit. It does not cover work, and a longer stay needs an extension or a residence visa.
Entry rule in short
You land, hand over the passport and answer the officer's questions. The entry is stamped in free of charge. Emirates lists the same 90 days. Frequent flyers should keep a tally, since the 90 days run across trips. The visit entry gives no right to work.
Cost and stay
| Step | AED | Source page |
|---|---|---|
| Entry with a Lithuanian passport, 90 days | 0 (free) | MOFA, Emirates |
| Extension application | AED 100 | ICP |
| Extension fee | AED 500 | ICP |
| Overstay penalty per day | AED 50 | ICP |
From MOFA and ICP pages, read in . A tourist visit tops out at 120 days with ICP. Beyond that you need residence. In the table, 0 means there is nothing to pay at the border.
Lithuanians who want to stay or work
Many Lithuanians in the UAE come on a job offer. The employer files the work permit and residence visa. You get an Emirates ID and then can sponsor family. Read our UAE work permit guide before you resign from a job at home, and ask the employer who pays for the medical test and insurance. If you are self-employed or want to be, the residence route is different and we can map it for you.
For family joining you, a Lithuanian spouse or child needs no visit visa for a short stay but needs a residence visa to live here. Relatives on other passports may need a visit visa. ICP lists AED 4,000 a month for first-degree relatives and AED 8,000 for second and third degree, with a refundable guarantee of AED 1,000 for a single entry visa.
The Lithuanian embassy in the UAE
The UAE foreign ministry reported that Lithuania's foreign minister Linas Linkevicius opened the Lithuanian embassy in Abu Dhabi on , together with UAE Minister of State Zaki Nusseibeh. A Lithuanian community was present. The embassy's own site was blocked to our reader, so we do not list its services or opening hours. Search listings suggest consular appointments are booked online. Check that on the embassy's site before you go.

Do not mix up the directions
Many searches say "Lithuania Schengen visa Dubai". That is the other way round: a UAE resident of another nationality applying for a Lithuanian Schengen visa. Lithuania's files in the UAE go through VFS Global according to a news report we could not re-check. Our Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia visa page covers it.
How it works with us
Share your passport page and travel plans on WhatsApp or in the form below. An adviser answers three things: do you enter free, does anyone with you need a visa, and do you need an extension. You see one total price before you commit. Then our team prepares the paperwork and tracks it. We are a private visa service, not a government office, and ICP or GDRFA has the final say.
If a file is refused, the fees paid to the authority stay with the authority. Before payment the adviser writes down what share of our total, if any, would come back.
