Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia all take Schengen visa files from the UAE through VFS Global, and each has its own embassy decision. The adult fee is EUR 90. Work routes are different: they start with an employer in the Baltic state, not with a visa centre in Dubai. This page covers both, and links the page for each country.
Tourist and short visits: one Schengen visa
A Baltic Schengen visa works like any other Schengen visa. It allows up to 90 days in any 180 across the whole Schengen area, you apply in the country where you spend the most nights, and the generic rules sit on the Schengen visa from Dubai page. Here is what is specific to the three Baltic states.
Estonia
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists the United Arab Emirates among the countries where VFS Global receives its visa applications. You must lodge the file in person. Estonia says to apply at least 15 days and no more than six months before you travel, and gives a decision time of 15 days, extendable to 45 if more checks are needed. The fee is EUR 90 for adults and EUR 45 for children aged 6 to 11, with under 6 exempt. Insurance must cover at least EUR 30,000, and the passport must be valid three months or more past departure.
Latvia
A news report from says the Latvian Embassy moved intake to VFS Global in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the Dubai centre in Wafi Mall. The Latvian foreign ministry site did not open for us, so we cannot confirm that today. Ask us or check the Latvia page before you book. The country page is Latvia visa for UAE residents.
Lithuania
A news report from says the Lithuanian Embassy and VFS Global opened centres at Wafi Mall in Dubai and at The Mall, World Trade Centre in Abu Dhabi, taking both short Schengen (C) and national (D) visa applications. The Lithuanian embassy site returned an error for us. See Lithuania visa for UAE residents for the country page.

Work routes from Dubai
A tourist visa never lets you work. Each Baltic state asks for an employer first.
Latvia. The Live Riga employer guide says the employer registers the vacancy, then files an invitation or request with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. The state fee is EUR 69 and approval is normally within 5 business days. Documents include the draft employment contract and education documents, which must be apostilled or legalised, or proof of at least 3 years of official work experience in a similar job. After approval you apply for a long-term D visa or a temporary residence permit.
Estonia. The Estonian work portal says you need a legal basis to stay before you start. Short-term employment can be registered for up to 365 days in a 455-day period. A residence permit for employment is first issued for up to 5 years. In most cases the employer first needs permission from the Unemployment Insurance Fund. Applications go to the Police and Border Guard Board, at an Estonian mission or in Estonia.
Lithuania. A search result from the Lithuanian Migration Department says that from foreigners who came on visa-free entry, national or Schengen visas, or residence permits of other states can no longer work without a Lithuanian temporary residence permit. We could not open the page, so treat this as reported and ask the Migration Department before you plan.
Documents for the tourist file
- Passport valid at least 3 months beyond departure, with blank pages.
- Visa application form and photo.
- Travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000.
- Flight and accommodation bookings or an invitation.
- Proof of funds and proof of your UAE residence and job.
- Emirates ID and residence visa copies.
The centre checklist for your chosen state is the final word. We check each page against it before you attend.
Processing time
The EU rule is 15 days, extendable to 45, and Estonia says the same. Work routes are longer and depend on the employer, the authority and your documents.
What gets Baltic files refused
- Applying to a state that is not your main destination.
- Insurance that does not cover the whole stay.
- Bookings that do not match your itinerary.
- A residence visa close to expiry.
- Using a tourist visa to start work.
How it works with us
You send your passport copy and travel plan on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. A visa adviser decides which Baltic state is your main destination and whether the trip is a tourist visit or a work move. You get one total price before you pay. For tourist files the team books the VFS slot, checks the document set and tells you when to attend. For work routes we explain the employer steps and prepare your side of the file. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The embassies and migration authorities decide.
The Schengen fee is not refunded after a refusal, and the centre keeps its service charge. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing which part of our total, if any, comes back if the visa is refused.
