A Polish citizen does not need a visa to visit the UAE. The Polish embassy in the UAE says you can stay up to 90 days within 180 for tourism, cultural, scientific or family visits, on a biometric passport valid at least 6 months from entry. The Polish foreign ministry currently advises avoiding travel to the UAE, so read the warning section below before you book.
What the Polish embassy says about entry
The Embassy of Poland in the UAE, from its page on work and stay, was read in . Three points matter for a Pole at the Dubai or Abu Dhabi passport desk:
- Visa-free entry covers up to 90 days within any 180 days, for tourism, culture, science or family visits.
- It applies to ordinary, diplomatic, service and special passports, each valid at least 6 months from the date of entry.
- Temporary passports are excluded.
The Polish MFA country profile adds that Polish citizens enter on a biometric passport and a free electronic visa issued at the border crossing. In practice that is the entry stamp. You do not apply in advance. The UAE ministry's own list shows the same rule: Poland is visa free, with a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival valid for 6 months and up to 90 days in total.
The temporary passport trap
This one catches people who lose a passport shortly before a flight. In a notice dated , the embassy says UAE authorities do not recognise Polish temporary passports for crossing the border. Only a biometric passport valid at least 6 months from the entry date is accepted, at airports, seaports and land borders. ID cards are refused too.
The same notice warns WizzAir passengers connecting in Abu Dhabi: you cannot stay in the transit zone and must pass immigration control. So a temporary passport can stop you even on a connection.
If your passport is damaged or stolen, sort the replacement first. Do not count on the airline or the border officer to bend the rule.
The foreign ministry warning
The Polish MFA country profile for the UAE, last updated , shows a general warning level of 3, avoid travel. It advises avoiding the UAE and also connections through UAE airports, and says renewed escalation, including missile and drone attacks and sudden airspace closures, cannot be excluded. If you go anyway, expect flight changes, check with the carrier, and register the trip in the Odyseusz system.
The profile also gives safety tips that matter on the ground: do not photograph military or industrial sites, public buildings, embassies, police or soldiers, and do not film attacks. We are a visa service, not a travel adviser. The decision to fly is yours, and the profile is the page to read.

Work in the UAE
The embassy is blunt: any employment needs a visa. Four exceptions exist: business travellers not employed in the UAE, athletes and artists on ad hoc activities, journalists sent by home-country media, and interns within the same company. If your trip is a meeting or a conference, you can use the free entry. If you will be paid by a UAE company, you cannot.
The employer or sponsor gets the work visa from the immigration office of the relevant emirate. The embassy states a 2 year validity for an employment visa. You do not apply from a visa centre. Our UAE work permit guide and Dubai work visa page explain the steps from the employer's side.
Family and friends
A Polish spouse or child on a Polish passport can enter free like you. Relatives on other passports may need a visit visa. ICP lists a sponsor income of AED 4,000 a month for first-degree relatives and AED 8,000 for second and third degree, with a refundable guarantee of AED 1,000 for a single entry visa. See Dubai family visit visa for the process.
The Polish embassy
The Embassy of Poland is in Abu Dhabi and covers the whole UAE. Its site lists visas, passports and the e-Konsulat platform as shortcuts. We do not list opening hours or services we have not read. Check the embassy site for the current rules before you go.
Documents to carry
- Biometric passport valid at least 6 months from the day you enter.
- Return or onward ticket.
- Hotel booking or the host's address.
- Travel insurance with high medical cover. The Polish MFA notes that care in the UAE is expensive.
- For work visits, an invitation from the company you will meet.
Poland in the other direction
Many searches for "dubai to poland work visa" mean something different from this page. That is a UAE resident applying for a Polish national visa at the embassy in Abu Dhabi. It has its own page: Poland work visa from Dubai. For a short trip to Poland on a non-EU passport, see the Schengen visa from Dubai guide.
How it works with us
Send your passport page and plans on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. An adviser tells you three things: whether your trip fits the free entry, whether anyone travelling with you needs a visa, and whether you need an extension or a work file. You get one total price before you pay. After that the team prepares the files and follows them to the end. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. GDRFA, ICP and the Polish authorities make their own decisions.
If an application is refused, the authorities keep their fees. Before you pay, the adviser writes down what part of our total, if any, comes back.
