A Poland work visa from Dubai is a D-type national visa. You must live in the UAE with a valid Emirates ID, hold a work permit or declaration from a Polish employer, and register on e-konsulat. The Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi charges AED 861 and decides in 15 days. It does not work with agents.
This is not a tourist visa
Searches for "poland work permit from dubai" mix three different documents:
- the work permit or declaration on entrusting work, which comes from the Polish Labour Office through your employer;
- the national visa (D type), which the embassy issues for a stay in Poland;
- the residence card you apply for after arrival.
This page covers the middle one, the visa filed in Abu Dhabi. We cannot obtain the work permit for you. Your employer in Poland does that.
If you only want to visit, you need a Schengen C visa instead, filed at the same embassy. Fees and rules differ, and the table below shows both.
Poland visa fees in Abu Dhabi
| Application | Fee |
|---|---|
| National visa (D type, work) | AED 861 |
| National visa appeal | AED 861 |
| Schengen visa, over 12 years | AED 388 |
| Schengen visa, 6 to 12 years | AED 194 |
| Schengen visa, under 6 years | No fee |
Source: Embassy of Poland in the UAE, consular fees and visa pages, checked . The embassy says the national visa fee is non-returnable whatever the consul decides, and that payment is by cash or card in dirhams.
We found no Dubai agency that publishes a price for a Poland visa, so no agency range is shown. The embassy is also clear that there is no visa centre in the middle: it does not use VFS or BLS.
Who can apply
The embassy says you must be a resident of the UAE with a valid Emirates ID. The visa application is submitted at the Consular Department in Abu Dhabi, not in Dubai. The embassy also says visa applications from people living in the UAE can only be submitted there.
Step by step: the e-konsulat route
The embassy notice of sets out the work visa process. It is old, so check the embassy page for changes before you start.
- Open e-konsulat and select the national visa register form.
- Accept the terms and choose National visa, employment.
- Submit the preliminary application. The data must match your documents exactly.
- Confirm the application by e-mail within 48 hours.
- Wait for the verification result by e-mail.
- Complete the full application within 48 hours of a positive result.
- If there are more verified applications than slots, dates are assigned by electronic draw. The embassy says the draw for work applications takes place every Monday.
- Attend in person with the printed, signed form and your documents.
One warning from the embassy: registering for a purpose other than the one you selected causes rejection. If your job is seasonal, pick that option and not general employment.
Documents
The embassy's D-type page lists:
- the printed and signed e-konsulat form;
- a colour photo, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background, not older than 6 months;
- passport valid at least 10 years, with 3 months beyond your return, plus a copy of the data page;
- health or travel medical insurance with at least EUR 30,000 cover;
- proof of UAE residence, a residence visa or Emirates ID;
- proof of financial means;
- proof of accommodation, such as an invitation or hotel booking;
- documents showing the purpose of stay;
- for work, the work permit, the declaration on entrusting work, or a seasonal work permit.
Applications may be filed no earlier than six months and no later than 15 calendar days before your planned arrival.
Processing time
The embassy says a national visa is issued or refused within 15 days of submission, extended to 30 days in justified cases. For a Schengen C visa the decision takes 15 calendar days, extendable to 45. Waiting for the e-konsulat date is the longer part: the embassy says expect up to 3 weeks in normal periods and at least 8 weeks in peak season for Schengen appointments, and work draws depend on slots.
Reasons for refusal or rejection
- Wrong purpose chosen on e-konsulat.
- Data that does not match the documents.
- A permit or declaration that has expired before the draw.
- Missing proof of funds or accommodation.
- A passport that does not meet the 10-year and 3-month rules.
How it works with us
The embassy does not cooperate with intermediaries and says using them gives no preferential treatment, so we do not pretend to book your slot. We check your permit, passport, photo and documents against the embassy's list, review your e-konsulat entries before you submit, and tell you where the file would fail. You see one total price before you pay. You register, wait for the draw and attend the embassy yourself. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The Polish authorities decide.
The AED 861 fee is not returned after a refusal. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back if the visa is refused.
