Rwanda is on the UAE foreign ministry's visa required list. If you hold a Rwandan passport, the e-visa has to exist before you board in Kigali. A Dubai tourism company files a GDRFA tourist visa: AED 210 for 30 days, AED 315 for 60 days, single entry. We prepare the file. A relative with UAE residence can sponsor you instead.
Pick the stay first
| Stay and entries | GDRFA fee |
|---|---|
| 30 days, one entry | AED 210 |
| 60 days, one entry | AED 315 |
| 30 days, many entries | AED 315 |
| 60 days, many entries | AED 525 |
GDRFA lists 48 hours for a complete file. These are the fees on its tourist visa pages as read on .
No arrival shortcut
The ministry page we read shows only "Visa Required" next to Rwanda. We found no UAE rule that gives Rwandans a visa on arrival. Airlines in Kigali check for the e-visa at the desk and will not board you without it.
What your file needs
- Passport with at least 6 months left, and a clear scan of the data page
- A passport photo
- Return ticket and health insurance valid in the UAE
- A family host's Emirates ID, residence visa and salary proof, if one is hosting you
What the Rwandan embassy here does
Rwanda has an embassy in Abu Dhabi and a general consulate in Dubai. The UAE foreign ministry says they opened in . The embassy site lists criminal record clearance certificates, consular cards, power of attorney and legalisation of documents, mostly through the Irembo portal. A UAE visit visa is not on that list, and the UAE government says its own embassies do not issue tourist visas.
Sponsored visits
ICP sets a monthly salary of AED 4,000 for a parent, spouse or child, AED 8,000 for a sibling and AED 15,000 for a friend. The host also pays a refundable guarantee of AED 1,000 for a single entry visit visa.
Why a file comes back
A passport close to expiry, a scan with cut corners, a return flight dated after the visa ends, or a host whose salary sits under the tier.
How it works with us
Tell us on WhatsApp or in the form which dates you want and send a passport copy. We look at the passport, say whether a tourist or sponsored visit suits the trip and quote a single total. Nothing goes to the authority before you say yes. Afterwards we answer its questions and deliver the e-visa. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, so GDRFA or ICP makes the decision.
When a visa is refused, the government fee stays with the authority. Our adviser states in writing, before payment, whether any part of the total returns to you.
