We check your passport and file the eVisa if needed

Last updated

Eswatini does not look at where you live. It looks at your passport. Its government says that countries not named on its visa list need no visa, and that visas cover stays of up to one month. If your passport is on the list, the eVisa takes 2 to 5 business days, allows 30 days and cannot be extended.

What decides your route

Living in Dubai or Abu Dhabi changes nothing here. The official guidelines never mention UAE residence. The official page prints the visa list as a table that did not show in the text we could read, so we do not guess for you. Send your passport page and we check it against the list first.

Papers you need

  • Scan of your passport
  • A recent passport-sized photo
  • Proof of travel arrangements, such as flight tickets

Business trips need more. The tourist route needs only the three items above.

Stays over 30 days

If your visit would run past thirty days, or you plan to work or study, the guidelines say to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit instead of an entry visa. That is a separate application with different requirements. A visitor who tries to stretch a tourist eVisa will hit the "no extension" rule.

Yellow fever and admission

A yellow fever certificate is needed only if you passed through a yellow fever area before entering Eswatini. Many flights from Dubai connect through Johannesburg or Addis Ababa, so look at your own routing. Admission is also decided at the border. The visa lets you present yourself to the immigration officer. It does not promise entry.

How it works with us

We read your passport, tell you which route applies, and fill in the eVisa form from your documents. You see one total price on WhatsApp before we file anything. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, and Eswatini's Ministry of Home Affairs makes the decision. If the visa is refused, the government does not return its fees. Your adviser tells you in writing, before you pay, what part of our total would come back.

Questions people ask

Does a UAE residence permit give visa-free entry to Eswatini?

Not on anything we could read. Eswatini says countries missing from its visa list need no visa, and it does not mention UAE residence at all. Your passport is what counts, so check it against the list first.

How long does the Eswatini eVisa take?

The portal FAQ says typically 2 to 5 business days. It also tells you to apply well ahead of the flight, because delays are possible. Plan on at least two weeks before you travel.

Can I get an Eswatini visa on arrival after flying from Dubai?

No. The eVisa FAQ says the eVisa must be obtained before arrival and that visa on arrival is not available at ports of entry. If your passport needs a visa, apply first.

How long can I stay in Eswatini on the eVisa?

Up to 30 days. The eVisa is single entry, valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and the FAQ says it cannot be extended. Longer stays, work or study need a Temporary Residence Permit.

Do I need a yellow fever certificate for Eswatini?

Only if you pass through a yellow fever area before entering Eswatini, according to the government guidelines. A flight from Dubai with a connection in Africa can trigger this, so check your route.

Can Eswatini refuse me with a visa in hand?

Yes. The guidelines say a visa does not guarantee admission and the immigration officer at the port of entry makes the final decision. Carry your ticket, accommodation details and funds.
