Kiribati decides by passport. Citizens of countries on its visa exemption order arrive without a visa, and everyone else applies first. UAE residence changes nothing. We find where your passport falls, contact the Kiribati Immigration Office and prepare the file.

Who takes the application
The ministry page says non-exempt visitors apply at the Immigration Office in Bairiki, Tarawa. The visa types listed are visitor, work, student and transit. It states no fee and no processing time. We found no Kiribati embassy or consulate in the UAE, so the contact is by email with the Visa Officer. We write to them and report back.
At the border
UK advice names a passport that expires at least 6 months after arrival with 2 blank pages, a return or onward ticket, and enough funds. The departure tax is paid at the airport.
The route from the Gulf
