We check and file your Laos eVisa

Last updated

Laos runs an official eVisa, and we can file it for you from Dubai. The Lao eVisa FAQ gives a 30-day stay and says the eVisa is valid for up to 60 days after the Approval Letter. Processing is usually 3 working days. Which passport you hold decides the rule, and the site does not mention UAE residence.

What the official site says

Entry points matter

The eVisa works only at the designated ports. These include Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, Luang Prabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridges and railway stations. There is a special lane for eVisa holders. If you arrive at a port that is not designated, you must apply for a visa on arrival and the eVisa fee is lost.

That is the main mistake to avoid. If you plan to cross by land from Thailand, tell us which bridge before we file.

Passport and papers

The official pages we read do not list documents in text we could open. Expect to need these, and we confirm the exact list when we check your file:

  • Your passport, with enough validity for the trip.
  • A recent passport photo.
  • Your planned arrival date and entry point.

The official list of eligible nationalities is on the Lao eVisa site, and the UAE option appears in its fee calculator. UAE residence is not mentioned as a condition either way.

Any change coming?

In the UAE ambassador to Laos suggested a study on more visa exemptions for tourists from both countries, per Lao news. It was a proposal. We found no rule change from it.

How it works with us

Send your passport copy and your entry point on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. A visa adviser checks the eVisa rules for your passport and confirms one total price before you pay. The team files the eVisa and follows up until the Approval Letter arrives. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The Lao authorities decide every eVisa.

The eVisa fee is not returned by Laos. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back if it is refused.

How long can I stay in Laos on an eVisa?

The Lao eVisa FAQ says the stay permit is 30 days. The eVisa itself is valid for a maximum of 60 days after you receive the Approval Letter, so you must enter inside that window.

How long does the Laos eVisa take?

You must apply for a visa on arrival instead, and the site says the eVisa fee becomes non-refundable. Choose your entry point first, then apply.

What is the Laos eVisa fee?

The official fee calculator shows the amount per passport. The figures did not load for us, so we quote none. The fee is paid online at the last step and is not refunded.
