Nepal gives you three ways to get a visa: online visa on arrival, an application at the airport, or an advance application at a Nepal embassy. The UK foreign office says a visa is needed for visits up to 90 days. We could not find a waiver tied to UAE residence, so your passport decides.

Fees
The pages we could read do not list amounts. The UK foreign office says costs depend on the stay length and that US dollars are preferred, with card payment possible. The Nepal immigration site did not open for us, so an adviser confirms the current fee in writing before you pay.
What to carry
- Passport valid 6 months after entry
- Travel insurance papers and confirmation of your first night's stay, which border control may ask for
- Cash in US dollars as a back-up
- Your NepaliPort registration: Canada says every foreign national arriving after must register on that system on arrival
Staying longer and overstays
You can extend online up to a total of 150 days in one year, per the UK foreign office. Canada says extensions are handled at specific immigration offices. An overstay is an offence, and Canada warns of detention until you pay the fine and a possible 7-year re-entry ban.
