Argentina's embassy in the UAE is in Abu Dhabi, and it takes visa inquiries and appointments only by e-mail. The tourist visa fee is AED 555.00, paid whether or not the visa is approved. The embassy says to apply 90 to 120 days ahead. Travellers with a current US B2 visa may qualify for an online eTA instead.
Do you need a visa
Argentina decides by nationality, not by UAE residence. The embassy does not publish the list itself. Its page sends you to the Argentine Migration Office visa list, and says that if your nationality is not listed you should e-mail the consular section. The e-mail must carry your name, nationality, trip purpose, travel date and copies of your passport, Emirates ID and UAE residence visa. The embassy says it answers within 72 working hours.
This is a different service from a Dubai walk-in. The embassy runs a no appointment, no entry policy and takes no walk-ins or phone inquiries.
The electronic route, the eTA
For travellers whose nationality needs a tourist visa, Argentina runs an electronic travel authorisation, the eTA or AVE. The embassy page says it applies to holders of ordinary passports who travel for tourism and hold a current category B2 visa from the United States. The B2 visa must stay valid through the eTA decision period and for three months after.
The eTA is valid for three consecutive months from issue and allows multiple entries. The stay can be extended once for a similar period. The embassy page gives no fee and no processing time, and it names no nationalities. Other Argentine consulate pages also mention further US visa categories, so check the migration office page for your case.

Documents
The embassy sheet asks for:
- Application form completed by hand in capital letters, signed in front of a consular officer.
- One photo, 4 cm by 4 cm, white background.
- Copy of the passport with all stamped visas.
- Employment letter on company letterhead with position, seniority, monthly pay and a contact person.
- Airline ticket (the embassy advises waiting for the visa before buying).
- Hotel booking guaranteed by credit card in your name, or a travel agency programme.
- Worldwide travel insurance.
- Original passport and UAE residence visa valid at least 6 months from the date of application.
Tourists add the last three credit card receipts and the latest credit card or bank statement. If you have no hotel booking, you need an invitation letter in Spanish certified by a notary.
Timing
Apply at least 90 to 120 days before travel. There is no express service. Dates depend on appointment availability, and the embassy advises against irrevocable travel plans until the visa is issued. Visa validity is 90 days.
Why applications stall
- Sending a request without the Emirates ID or residence visa copy. The embassy says incomplete requests are disregarded.
- Arriving without an appointment or late. A missed slot is cancelled.
- A form that is typed instead of handwritten in capitals.
- Residence visa with under six months left and no employer letter about renewal.
- Booking tickets first and asking about the visa later.
How it works with us
You send your passport copy and residence details on WhatsApp. A visa adviser tells you which route applies to your passport, the visa or the eTA. You get one total price before you pay. The team drafts the appointment e-mail, builds the document set and checks it against the embassy sheet. You still attend the interview yourself. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The Embassy of Argentina and the Argentine Migration Office decide.
Argentina does not return the consular fee after a refusal. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing which part of our total, if any, comes back if the visa is refused.
