For a Bahrain visa as a UAE resident, you use evisa.gov.bh, which Bahrain calls the only official website for visas to the Kingdom. Payment comes in two steps: an application fee when you apply, then a visa fee once you are approved. Neither is refunded after a refusal. Your passport, more than your UAE residence, decides whether you can also get a visa on arrival.
What we know, and what Bahrain does not publish
Bahrain gives fewer public details than its neighbours. We prefer to say so plainly.
Confirmed on official pages:
- evisa.gov.bh is the only official site to apply.
- Payment is in two steps: application fee, then visa fee after approval.
- Fees are not refunded if the visa is refused.
- Bahrain publishes two nationality lists: one for the eVisa and one for visa on arrival, where "conditions apply".
- India and the Philippines appear on both lists.
Not shown on the public pages we read:
- A dedicated GCC resident visa, like Qatar's A2 or Oman's GCC Resident Visa.
- The fee amounts in Bahraini dinars.
- Any rule on your job title.
Plenty of online guides state these as facts. We could not confirm them from Bahrain's own pages, so we do not repeat them. When you apply with us, the adviser reads what the live form offers your passport on the day.
Your Bahrain options at a glance
| Route | Who | How you pay |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa | Passports on the eVisa list | Application fee, then visa fee after approval |
| Visa on arrival | Passports on the on-arrival list, conditions apply | At arrival, per Bahrain's conditions |
| No refund | Both routes | Fees kept if refused |

What Dubai agencies charge
Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 171.50 to AED 462 for Bahrain visa help (published prices of 7 Dubai agencies, checked ). These are starting prices for different visa lengths, from short single entry to one year multiple, so a cheap headline may not be the visa you need.
On arrival or eVisa: which is better for you
If your passport is on both lists, as Indian and Filipino passports are, you have a choice.
- eVisa first means you board knowing the answer. If Bahrain refuses, you lose the fees but not the flight.
- On arrival saves time on paper, but the conditions are applied at the airport. If you do not meet them, you find out after you have flown.
For a short weekend trip, the eVisa is the safer pick, because a refusal on the ground costs a ticket as well. If your passport is on neither list, you will need another route through the eVisa site, and it is worth having an adviser read the form with you.
Going by road
Bahrain is an island. The only road in from the UAE runs through Saudi Arabia and over the King Fahd Causeway. So a drive needs two visas: Saudi first, then Bahrain. The Saudi visa for UAE residents page covers the Saudi eVisa, which is multiple entry for a year and suits road trips.
Documents to have ready
The form asks for scans, so prepare clear copies:
- Passport photo page, valid for your trip.
- UAE residence visa and Emirates ID.
- A recent personal photo.
- Your hotel booking or address in Bahrain.
- Return flight or onward plan.
The site may ask for more depending on your passport and visa type.
Processing time
Bahrain does not publish a processing time on its static eVisa pages. Agencies quote a few working days, but those are their own estimates. Apply at least a week before you travel, and wait for approval before paying for anything you cannot cancel.
Refusal reasons to avoid
- Applying on a look-alike site. Unofficial sites can take your money without anything reaching Bahrain.
- Wrong route for your passport, for example expecting a visa on arrival that your nationality does not get.
- Unreadable scans or a photo that does not meet the form's rules.
- Details that do not match between passport, Emirates ID and the form.
How it works with us
Send us your passport, Emirates ID and trip dates on WhatsApp, or use the form on this page. A visa adviser looks up your nationality on both Bahrain lists and opens the live eVisa form to see what it offers you. You get one total price before you pay, with the two Bahrain fees shown inside it. The team files on evisa.gov.bh, pays the second fee after approval and sends you the eVisa. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service and does not act for the Bahrain government, which decides every visa.
Bahrain keeps both fees after a refusal. Before you pay us, your adviser confirms in writing what part of our total, if any, would be returned.
Other Gulf pages
Compare Bahrain with the Qatar visa for UAE residents and the Kuwait visa for UAE residents. Other destinations that stamp you in at the airport are listed on visa on arrival for UAE residents, and the full list is on visas from Dubai.
