A Qatar visa for UAE residents usually means the A2 GCC Resident Visa on the Hayya platform. Qatar built it for GCC residents of any nationality. It is single entry and costs QAR 100, paid only after final approval. Two rules catch people out: your UAE residence needs at least 6 months left from arrival, and the job title must match your residence permit exactly.
A2 and A3: the two Hayya routes for UAE expats
Hayya groups visas by code. Two matter to you.
A2, GCC Resident Visa. Based on your UAE residence. Open to all nationalities living in a GCC country.
A3, visa with ETA. For holders of a Schengen, US or UK visa or residence. If you have one of these, compare A3 with A2 before you start, since each has its own conditions on Hayya.
Everyone else uses A2. Indian, Filipino, Egyptian or any other passport makes no difference to A2 eligibility, because the residence is what counts.

The stay length on the A2 was not shown on the pages we read. Hayya shows it in your account, so check it there before you book a long trip.
What Dubai agencies charge
Dubai visa agencies publish about AED 150 to AED 500 for Qatar visa help (published prices of 5 Dubai agencies, checked ). The QAR 100 government fee is low, so most of what you pay an agency is service.
The job title rule, in practice
Hayya puts it bluntly: if the job title you enter does not match the one on your residency permit, you will not be allowed into Qatar. That is checked at the border, not only in the form. So an approved visa can still fail when you land in Doha.
How to get it right:
- Take the title from your UAE residence record, not your business card or contract.
- Keep the same spelling and wording. "Sales Executive" and "Sales Exec" are not the same text.
- If you changed jobs and your residence was renewed, use the new title.
We check this on every Qatar file before it goes in.
Travelling to Qatar as a family
Each person needs their own visa, so plan one Hayya application per traveller, children included. The fee is per visa, which means a family of four pays QAR 100 four times. Every adult's job title is checked on its own. Copy each person's title from their own residence record, even when it is not a job you would put on a CV.
Documents
- Passport, valid for the trip.
- UAE residence permit and Emirates ID, with at least 6 months left from your arrival date.
- Personal photo for the Hayya account.
- Flight or travel plan and where you will stay, as Hayya asks.
- For A3 only: your valid Schengen, US or UK visa or residence.
Processing time
Hayya does not publish a fixed processing time for A2 on the pages we checked. Apply as soon as your dates are firm. The fee is only charged at the end, so starting early costs nothing extra if you then change plans before approval.
Reasons a Qatar A2 is refused or turned back
- Residence too close to expiry. Under 6 months from arrival does not meet the rule.
- Job title mismatch, which can lead to refused entry even with an approval.
- Wrong route chosen, for example A2 when a valid UK visa would have opened A3.
- Photo or passport scan unclear, which slows the account review.
How it works with us
Message us on WhatsApp with your passport, Emirates ID and dates, or send the form on this page. A visa adviser checks the 6-month rule and reads the exact job title from your residence, then tells you whether A2 or A3 fits. You get one total price before you pay. The team sets up the Hayya application, follows it to final approval and sends you the approval to carry. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, not Hayya or any Qatar authority, and Qatar decides every visa.
The QAR 100 is non-refundable once paid. Before you pay us, the adviser writes down what part of our total, if any, comes back to you if Qatar refuses the visa.
More Gulf trips
Pair Doha with a drive to Oman or a weekend in Riyadh with the Oman visa for UAE residents and the Saudi visa for UAE residents. Bahrain is close by too: see the Bahrain visa for UAE residents. For every destination, go to visas from Dubai. If you hold a Western visa, also look at visa-free countries for UAE residents.
