A Denmark visa from Dubai starts online, not at a counter. You fill in the Danish form, pay the visa fee online, then book VFS Global for biometrics. The Danish Consulate General in Dubai decides, in about 15 days and at most 45. The fee is EUR 90 for adults. Work permits go the same way through VFS.
Online first, then VFS
Denmark's order of steps differs from most Schengen states, so follow it exactly.
- Complete the online application on the Danish visa site.
- Pay the visa fee online.
- Gather the documents listed for your type of application. VFS publishes checklists, for example one for family and friends and one for business.
- Print and sign the cover letter.
- Book a VFS appointment and hand everything in with your biometrics. VFS charges a service fee separately.
The consulate page says you should book a VFS slot at least 15 days before travel and that appointments can only be booked on the VFS website. Search results for the Danish mission also report that it accepts documents only in English or Danish, so treat that as the rule.
Who decides and how long it takes
The Danish Consulate General in Dubai assesses and decides. The page gives about 15 days. It also says the time can reach 45 days if the file is incomplete, needs more enquiries or goes to the Danish Immigration Service. The mission recommends that you do not buy a plane ticket before approval. That is firmer advice than most Schengen missions give, so take it seriously.

Agency prices in Dubai
Dubai agencies publish about AED 638 to AED 750 for a Denmark Schengen service (published prices of 2 Dubai agencies, checked ). One of them lists a lower price for Indian passports than for other nationalities. These cover the agency's fee only.
Documents
Denmark's checklists depend on why you travel. Pick one early, because it fixes what you need.
- A passport valid beyond your stay and your UAE residence permit.
- The signed cover letter printed from the online form.
- Insurance of at least EUR 30,000 for the whole Schengen area.
- Proof of where you stay, and an invitation if you visit family or friends.
- Bank statements and an employer letter.
- English or Danish versions of every foreign paper.
That last point catches people: a bank letter in Arabic or a certificate in Hindi needs a translation.
Denmark work permit from Dubai
The Danish Consulate General in Dubai handles residence and work permits for Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. You submit and give biometrics at VFS. The page is firm on one point: residence in Denmark can only be processed by the Danish authorities, and no agency can issue entry permits.
The popular route is the Pay Limit Scheme. The Danish Immigration Service says:
- the salary must be DKK 552,000 or higher, adjusted every 1 January;
- no specific education is needed;
- the fee is DKK 6,810;
- processing is about one month, up to three if more papers are needed;
- you can apply from abroad, and your salary must go into a Danish bank account in your own name.
For online submissions, the consulate page says biometrics must be recorded within 14 days. We check that your contract, passport and papers fit before you submit, and we book the VFS slot. We cannot speed up the decision.
Reasons for refusal
- Documents in a language other than English or Danish.
- More nights in Norway or Sweden than in Denmark.
- A cover letter that does not match the online form.
- Buying a ticket before approval and then missing the date.
How it works with us
Send your passport copy and Emirates ID on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. An adviser checks that Denmark is your main country and picks the right checklist. You see one total price before you pay. We fill in the online form with you, translate-check your papers and book the VFS slot. You attend for biometrics. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The Danish authorities decide, and for work permits only they can grant entry.
The visa fee and VFS charge are not refunded after a refusal. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back if the visa is refused.
