Fijians enter the UAE without paying for a visa. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists the Republic of Fiji as visa free, with a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival, valid 6 months, for up to 90 days in total. That rule rests on a mutual agreement that Fiji's government announced after signing in Dubai.
The agreement behind it
Fiji's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and the UAE's Minister of State, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, signed a memorandum on . It gives passport holders of both countries visa-free entry of up to ninety days. The same day they signed a separate memorandum on political consultations.

- Passport valid for the trip. Airlines often ask for six months.
- A return or onward ticket.
