The UAE foreign ministry said on that it was stopping the issue of entry visas to North Korean citizens. Its visa exemption list still shows the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as visa required. We found no published route to apply, so we do not sell one.
What the UAE said
The ministry statement says the UAE ended the diplomatic presence of its non-resident ambassador to North Korea and of North Korea's ambassador in the UAE. It also said it was "stopping issuing entry visas for North Korean citizens" and "ceasing new business licences for North Korean companies wishing to operate in the UAE". It framed the step as carrying out UN Security Council resolutions 2371 and 2375.

What this means for you
- A North Korean passport holder should not buy a ticket or pay an agent for a Dubai visa on the strength of an advertisement.
- If you hold a UAE residence permit from before, ask the authority that issued it, GDRFA or ICP, how your case stands. We cannot read your file.
