South Koreans do not need a visa for Dubai. The UAE foreign ministry lists the Republic of Korea as visa free, with a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival, valid 6 months, for up to 90 days in total. We help when that is not enough: extensions, a spouse or parent on another passport, and residence or work.

Korean offices in the UAE

Korea has two missions here. The embassy is in Abu Dhabi, and diplomatic relations date from . Its consular division is open Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 17:00, and Friday 8:30 to 12:30. The embassy site carries a notice on how to book a visit to the consulate in Abu Dhabi.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai has its own website. It is open Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00. Anyone living in Dubai or the Northern Emirates can start there.

If your relatives are not Korean

The Dubai consulate general's visa page says it takes Korean visa applications from UAE nationals and from foreign residents of Dubai and the Northern Emirates with at least 6 months left on their residence visa. Residents of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain apply at the embassy. For some nationalities it also asks for two years of continuous UAE residence. Rejected applicants can reapply after 3 months.

That helps a Korean family with a spouse or domestic worker on another passport. Our page for Korea visa for UAE residents covers the file.

Staying on

Entry is free. To extend, ICP takes AED 100 for the application and AED 500 for the extension. A day past the permitted stay costs AED 50. Both figures come from the ICP and GDRFA pages, read , and a tourist visit stops at 120 days.

Filing steps sit in the Dubai visa extension guide. Paid work needs the route in work visa Dubai. Bringing a spouse or child to live with you is in family visa Dubai.

A new trade deal

In his message on the embassy site, the Korean ambassador says the Korea-UAE economic partnership agreement came into force on . That deal is about trade and investment and leaves the visa-free stay and the work rules as they were. The ambassador also notes that the UAE has the largest Korean community anywhere in the Middle East and Africa.

How it works with us

Share a passport photo and your landing date with us, by WhatsApp or the form. Our adviser checks how many of your 90 days remain and proposes one of three things: an extension, a visa for a relative, or a residence file. A single price arrives before you commit. After that the team prepares, submits and chases the file. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service and the UAE authorities decide.

If the answer is no, the authority keeps its charge. Before you pay, the adviser writes down if any part of our own fee would be given back.
