Trinidad and Tobago citizens on ordinary passports need a Dubai visa before they fly. The UAE foreign ministry lists the country as visa required. A Dubai tourism firm, hotel or airline files a GDRFA tourist visa for AED 210 (30 days) or AED 315 (60 days), single entry, with 48 hours listed.
The diplomatic waiver, and who it skips
A newspaper report last updated said the UAE and Trinidad and Tobago agreed a mutual visa exemption for diplomatic and official passports. We read this in a newspaper, not on a government page, and it does not cover an ordinary passport. Holiday travellers still need the e-visa.

Consular help for citizens
The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs lists 32 honorary consuls worldwide. None is in the UAE or another Gulf state. So there is no office in Dubai to ask. Nationals in the region are urged to register with the ministry's Registration System for Nationals Abroad.
Travel advice
The ministry's advisory of covers the Middle East in general: stay indoors in a secure location, avoid all travel and follow local authorities. It does not name the UAE. Read the current advisory before you book.
