Most UAE residents apply for a Lebanese visa at the Consulate General of Lebanon in Dubai. It lists AED 324 for a single entry, AED 460 for two entries and AED 644 for multiple entries, with four working days for most files. Visa on arrival at Beirut airport is limited to nationals of 12 named countries.
Who needs what
The consulate's visa page splits travellers into three groups:
- Visa-free. Nationals of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, and Jordanians whose passport carries a national number. Their accompanying family members, household helpers and drivers are included, and helpers and drivers need a valid UAE residence permit.
- Visa on arrival. Nationals of Tunisia, Algeria, Comoros, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Yemen, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Ghana. The stay is one month, renewable up to three months. You need a round-trip ticket, a confirmed hotel or a full private address in Lebanon, and USD 2,000 in cash.
- Everyone else. A visa from the consulate before you fly.
That third group includes India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, because none of them appears on the other two lists. The UAE residence permit is a document you submit, not a reason for exemption.
One caution on the UK side: UK government advice says British citizens can normally get a free single-entry tourist visa on arrival at Beirut airport, valid one month and extendable to three months at General Security. Check your own passport's route with the consulate.

What Dubai agencies charge
Dubai agencies publish about AED 575 to AED 800 for a Lebanon visa (published prices of 2 Dubai agencies, checked ). One of them says the consulate fee is paid separately, so the two prices are not like for like. They are not our price.
The file for the consulate
For a tourist visa the consulate lists:
- The application form, filled online and printed or filled at the consulate.
- One recent passport photo.
- Passport valid at least six months, with one photocopy.
- UAE residence visa valid at least six months, or Emirates ID.
- A No Objection Letter from your UAE sponsor stating how long you will stay in Lebanon.
- A commercial licence copy, if you are an investor or partner.
- A confirmed hotel booking, or an invitation from a host in Lebanon with the host's passport copy, address and contact number.
- A round-trip, non-refundable flight ticket.
- Bank statements for the last three months.
- Travel insurance for the whole stay.
Business visas swap the hotel for an invitation from a company in Lebanon and a sponsor NOC that also states your monthly salary. Household helpers need the sponsor's papers and a named companion. A helper can enter on arrival only if the sponsor is Lebanese with UAE residency or a GCC national and travels with the helper.
Submission hours
Documents go in Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 12:00 and Friday from 08:30 to 11:00. Collection is in a short afternoon window. Plan around the Friday cut-off and bring the originals.
Safety note
The UK government advises against all travel to parts of Lebanon and against all but essential travel to other parts. It last changed the areas on and marked the page current on 24 October. It also warns that a passport with an Israeli stamp may lead to refusal. Read it and your insurance terms before booking.
Common problems
- A sponsor NOC that does not state the length of stay.
- Residence visa with under six months left.
- Hotel booking that is not confirmed.
- Missing bank statements or insurance cover.
- Expecting visa on arrival on a passport that is not on the list.
How it works with us
Send your passport and residence copy on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. A visa adviser checks which Lebanon group you fall into and lists what is missing from your papers. You get one total price before you pay. Our team prepares the file in the consulate's order, books your submission and follows up until the visa is ready. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service. The Lebanese authorities decide every visa.
If a visa is refused, the consulate does not return its fee. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing what part of our total, if any, comes back.
