Nigeria visa for UAE residents

We prepare your Nigeria visa application, check your passport, yellow fever certificate and dates, and tell you what the Nigerian mission in the UAE may ask. Visa on arrival has ended.

We file your Nigeria e-visa, no visa on arrival

Last updated

Nigeria no longer gives visas on arrival. UAE residents apply online through the Nigeria Immigration Service portal before they fly, unless they hold a valid Nigerian residence permit. You also need 6 months of passport validity, a yellow fever certificate and online landing cards. We prepare the file and check each item.

What changed at the border

The UK government's entry page says visa on arrival is no longer available and that applications go through the Nigerian portal. A UAE visa or Emirates ID does not change that. A Filipino nurse in Abu Dhabi and an Indian engineer in Sharjah file the same way, and the passport decides which documents are asked for.

Costs

Item Amount
Nigeria visa fee Set on the Nigeria Immigration Service portal
Dubai agency price range None shown

We read no fee on an official page, so we print none. Search results quoted USD amounts, but we could not confirm them on the portal. Agencies in Dubai that publish a price for a Nigeria visa were fewer than two, so there is no market range. Source: UK entry requirements for Nigeria, checked .

What to carry

  • Passport valid at least 6 months after arrival
  • Yellow fever certificate, original
  • UAE residence permit and Emirates ID
  • Online landing card confirmation, completed before entry
  • Return ticket and hotel or host address

Where the Nigerian missions are

The UAE foreign ministry lists a Nigerian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and a Nigerian Consulate General in Dubai. Which one handles your file depends on the portal's instructions at the time. Do not turn up without an appointment.

Where not to go

The UK foreign office updated its Nigeria advice on . It advises against all travel to parts of the north east, north west and the riverine south, and against all but essential travel to other states including Kaduna, Kano and Plateau. We did not see Lagos or Abuja in the lists we read, but read the full page before you book any trip inside the country.

Steps

  1. Check your passport date and yellow fever certificate.
  2. Send us the scans and travel dates.
  3. We prepare the online visa application and tell you what the mission asks next.
  4. Complete the landing card online before the flight.
  5. Fly with the printed approval and certificate.

Why people are stopped

  • Passport with under 6 months left
  • No yellow fever certificate
  • Landing card not completed
  • Trying to arrive without a visa on the old on-arrival rule

How it works with us

Message us on WhatsApp or use the form on this page with your passport copy and dates. An adviser checks the portal route for your passport and gives one total price before you pay. The team prepares the application, follows it and tells you each step. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, and Nigerian authorities decide every visa.

Visa fees are not returned after a refusal. Your adviser tells you in writing, before payment, what part of our total, if any, comes back.
