We check your passport rule and the warnings first

Venezuela is a destination with strong government warnings. Canada says avoid all travel. The UK advises against all travel to parts and against all but essential travel to the rest. We check your passport rule, documents and insurance first, and we do not promise a visa.

The warnings first

Government Advice Updated
Canada Avoid all travel to Venezuela
UK (FCDO) Against all travel to parts; against all but essential travel to the rest

The UK names areas within 40km of the border with Colombia, Amazonas state and the Orinoco Mining Arc for no travel. It names Zulia state and Maracaibo among the essential travel only areas. Canada cites crime, arbitrary detention and the decline in basic living conditions. UK advice also notes that travel insurance may be invalid if you go against it.

The entry rule

The UK page covers British passports. By air you can stay up to 90 days visa free on a tourist card issued on arrival, with a return or onward ticket. By land or sea a visa from an embassy may be needed. Canada lists tourist, business, work and student visas as required before travel for Canadians. We found no rule that changes with UAE residence, so your passport decides.

What you carry

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond departure
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Yellow fever certificate if you come from Brazil
  • A declaration for cash or cheques of USD 10,000 or more
  • A declaration for goods worth more than USD 1,000

Embassy

A directory lists a Venezuelan embassy in Abu Dhabi. We could not open its own site, so we cannot state its services or fees. We found no visa fee, processing time or agency price for UAE residents on a page we could read.

How it works with us

Send your passport copy and dates on WhatsApp or through the form on this page. An adviser checks the rule for your passport and tells you what is covered. If a visa is needed, you get one total price before you pay. The team prepares your documents, books the visit to the embassy where possible and follows up. We are a private visa service, and Venezuela decides every entry.

If a visa is refused, the embassy fee is not returned. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing which part of our total, if any, comes back.

Questions people ask

Do UAE residents need a visa for Venezuela?

It depends on the passport. The UK page says British passport holders can stay up to 90 days visa free on a tourist card issued on arrival by air. Other passports may differ, and we found no rule that changes with UAE residence.

Is it safe to travel from Dubai to Venezuela?

Canada says avoid all travel to Venezuela. The UK advises against all travel to parts and against all but essential travel to the rest. Read both pages before you book, and check your insurance.

What is the Venezuela tourist card?

For British passports arriving by air, the UK page says a tourist card is issued on arrival and lets you stay 90 days. You must show a return or onward ticket. It can be extended up to 90 days at SAIME offices.

Where do UAE residents apply for a Venezuela visa?

A directory lists a Venezuelan embassy in Abu Dhabi. We could not open its own site, so confirm services with the embassy. The UK page says to contact the embassy if you arrive by land or sea.

Can I work in Venezuela on a visit from the UAE?

No. The UK page says a visa is mandatory for paid or unpaid work, NGO activity, journalism, filming, volunteering, study and internships. A tourist card does not cover them.

What happens if I overstay in Venezuela?

The UK page says you may be arrested and fined when you try to leave. Extend your tourist card at SAIME before it expires.
