Ecuadorians do not need a visa for the UAE. The UAE foreign ministry lists Ecuador as visa free: a free multiple entry visit visa on arrival, valid 6 months, for up to 90 days in total. Plans past that need a filing, and we do those.
Why Ecuador is on the list
Ecuador's foreign ministry said on that Ecuador and the UAE signed a visa exemption agreement. Holders of ordinary, official and diplomatic passports are exempt from a visa, in both directions, for a maximum of 90 days. The ministry's own list of countries that do not require a visa from Ecuadorians shows the UAE at 90 days.
The embassy
Ecuador's embassy in the UAE is in Abu Dhabi. President Noboa inaugurated it on . Vistazo reported that a commercial office in Dubai was under study, and that it was not yet established. For consular help, contact the embassy in Abu Dhabi, not a Dubai office.
Costs after day 90
Entry itself is free. To stay longer, GDRFA lists an extension at AED 600 plus 5% VAT in Dubai, and ICP lists AED 100 for the application plus AED 500 elsewhere. Source: GDRFA and ICP service pages, checked . Tourist stays top out at 120 days in total, and an overstay fine of AED 50 a day starts the day after the stay ends.
Travelling as a family
If your partner or children hold other passports, their entry is not covered by yours. Colombian, Mexican or Brazilian passports each have their own rule, as on the Mexicans and Brazilians pages. We read every passport and file a visa where one is needed.
