Guatemala visa for UAE residents

We check which Guatemala rule applies to your passport and prepare the visa file if you need one. UAE residence does not set the rule. Your passport does.

We check your passport and prepare the file

Last updated

Whether you need a visa for Guatemala depends on your passport, not on living in the UAE. We could not read Guatemala's own list of visa-exempt nationalities, so we check your passport for you and say plainly what is confirmed. If a visa applies, we prepare the file.

What is confirmed

UK travel advice says British citizens can visit Guatemala for up to 90 days without a visa, with a passport valid at least 6 months after arrival and at least 2 blank pages. Longer stays need a visa through the Guatemalan embassy. Source: UK foreign travel advice, checked . That is the rule for British passports only.

We have not confirmed Guatemala's rule for Indian, Filipino, Egyptian, Bangladeshi, Nepali, Sri Lankan, Nigerian or Kenyan passports. Send us your passport page and we check it with the embassy before you book.

Regional rule

Under the CA-4 agreement, travel between Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua is visa-free for up to 90 days in total for British nationals. The 90 days do not restart at the border. Honduras is in the CA-4, but UK advice says British nationals need a separate Honduras visa. Compare the Honduras and El Salvador pages.

Practical points from the advice

  • Fill in the online immigration declaration before entering or leaving.
  • Get the passport stamped on arrival to avoid fines.
  • Departure tax is USD 30, usually in the ticket.
  • Children under 18 with one parent or none need a notarised letter in Spanish.
  • Informal fees at land borders are illegal.

We list no Guatemalan visa fee, because we found no fee on a page we could read.

Embassy

The UAE foreign ministry directory lists Guatemala's embassy in Abu Dhabi and no mission in Dubai. Ask what it accepts for visa files before you plan around it.

How it works with us

Send your passport page and dates on WhatsApp or the form. An adviser tells you which rule applies and what to collect, then quotes one total price before you pay. We prepare and check the file. We are a private visa service, and Guatemala decides every visa.

A refusal does not bring the government fee back. Before you pay, your adviser tells you in writing what part of our total, if any, returns.
