Guyana decides by passport, not by where you live. The foreign ministry says nationals of 71 countries and territories need no visa. If your passport is not on that list, you apply for a visitor visa before you fly, and we prepare and check the file.
What the foreign ministry lists
The Guyana Ministry of Foreign Affairs page names the visa-exempt countries and territories. It lists the UAE, Ghana and South Africa among them. Ghana and the UAE are for a period not exceeding 90 days, South Africa not exceeding 30 days. It shows updates dated and .
For common UAE passports, we read the list as follows. India appears only for diplomatic, official and service passports. We did not find ordinary passports from the Philippines, Egypt, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka or Nigeria. Source: Guyana foreign ministry, checked . Check it again close to your trip.
Applying for a visa
Guyana's immigration e-services portal offers visitor, business, employment and student visas, as new applications or extensions, and landing permits. It has a required-documents page for each. The front page shows no fee or processing time. The foreign ministry page links a download called "Immigration Procedures & Visa Fees" with no amounts in the page text. Other points
- Passport valid at least 6 months after arrival (UK advice).
- Yellow fever certificate if you arrive from a transmission-risk country.
- For British citizens: 30 days normally, one-month extensions. Overstaying can mean a fine up to GYD 50,000 and deportation.

Embassy
We could not confirm a Guyana embassy in the UAE. Ask the foreign ministry in Georgetown which mission covers the UAE.
