Haiti does not ask tourists from the UK or Canada for a visa for stays up to 90 days. The bigger question is travel safety. The UK advises against all travel to Haiti and Canada says to avoid all travel. We check the entry rule for your passport and talk through the warnings first.

The entry rule
UK advice says you do not need a visa to visit Haiti for up to 90 days. Canada says the same, and a residency permit is needed beyond 90 days. These are rules for UK and Canadian citizens. For India, Philippines, Egypt or other passports, we confirm the rule before you book.
Costs at the border

Papers
- Passport valid at least 6 months after arrival
- Yellow fever certificate if you arrive from a risk country
- Return ticket and a confirmed place to stay
- Travel insurance that covers Haiti, which many insurers refuse under these warnings
