We prepare your ETA-IL or B2 visa file

Israel does not treat UAE residents as a group. Your passport decides. If it is visa-exempt, you need an ETA-IL approval before you fly. If it is not, you apply for a B2 visit visa through the Embassy of Israel, and VFS Global lists a visa fee of AED 100 plus a service fee of AED 288.75. We prepare the file and check it first.

The two routes

The Embassy of Israel in the UAE describes two services for foreign visitors. The ETA-IL is for "all visitors from visa-exempt countries", who can then stay up to 90 days per visit. The approval is valid for up to two years or until the passport expires. The entry visa for visiting or touring is for everyone else. It covers tourism, medical visits, business visits and short non-academic study.

Israel's entry portal says every traveller needs a valid visa or an ETA-IL before starting the trip. Its eligibility check tells you which one applies to your passport. We do the same check for you and list the answer in writing.

Indian passport holders in Dubai

This is the most common search, so here is what we can and cannot say. Israel's portal runs an eVisa-B2 pilot. It names Indian and Sri Lankan passport holders residing in India and Sri Lanka. It does not name UAE residents. An Indian national living in Dubai should therefore expect the embassy route, through VFS or an appointment, and confirm it before paying. We do not assume the pilot covers you.

Residents with other passports, such as Filipino, Egyptian or Nigerian, follow the same rule: visa-exempt means ETA-IL, otherwise B2. VFS also lists certain nationalities, among them Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, that must use an alternative application form.

Documents for the B2 visit visa

The embassy's list is short and strict:

  • A passport valid at least 3 months beyond the visa period.
  • A printout of a bank statement covering at least 3 months.
  • Confirmation of employment from your employer.
  • Your place of residence in Israel for the stay.
  • A two-way ticket. You do not need to show it when you submit.
  • Proof of insurance for the whole stay.
  • Two recent colour photos, 5 x 5 cm, on a white background.

VFS adds travel medical insurance and two 5 x 5 cm photos to its own list. The embassy page also says the applicant makes an appointment and attends in person at the mission, at the consular representative's discretion. VFS describes the filing channel. Expect to be asked to attend, and plan for it.

How long it takes

The Embassy of Israel aims for 15 working days. VFS says certain nationalities can take up to 60 calendar days. That is a long gap, so do not book a flight, hotel or tour until the visa is in your passport or email.

Safety and flights

Government advice matters for your insurance and your plans. The UK FCDO advises against all travel to Gaza, to areas within 500m of the Gaza border and to northern Israel and the Golan Heights. It advises against all but essential travel to most of the West Bank. Its update of mentions regional tensions and the chance of flight cancellations and airspace closures. Read your own government's advice and your insurer's terms.

Why Israel files stall

  • A bank statement shorter than 3 months.
  • No employment letter, or one that does not match the application.
  • Insurance that does not cover the full stay.
  • A photo with the wrong size or a coloured background.
  • A booked ticket and an unissued visa.

How it works with us

Send your passport page and travel dates on WhatsApp or through the form here. A visa adviser decides if you need an ETA-IL or a B2 visa and tells you what is missing. You get one total price before you pay. The team then prepares the application, books the filing step and follows up. We are a private visa service. The Embassy of Israel decides every visa.

If a visa is refused, the VFS charges are not returned. Before you pay, the adviser tells you in writing which part of our total, if any, comes back.

Passport, photos, bank statement, employment letter, insurance and hotel details, as the embassy lists them.

  3. File through the embassy route

Submit the application through VFS, or at the embassy if it asks you to attend.

  4. Wait for the decision

Expect up to 15 working days, longer for some nationalities. Book flights after the visa is issued.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Do UAE residents need a visa for Israel?

It depends on the passport, not on UAE residence. Visa-exempt passports need an ETA-IL approval before the flight. Other passports need a B2 visit visa from the Embassy of Israel. We found no rule that exempts people only because they live in the UAE.

How much is an Israel visa from Dubai?

VFS Global lists a visa fee of AED 100 and a service fee of AED 288.75 per application, for every visa type it takes. VFS says its service charges are inclusive of taxes and non-refundable. The ETA-IL is a separate NIS 25 fee.

How do Indian passport holders in Dubai get an Israel visa?

Israel's entry portal offers the online eVisa-B2 pilot to Indian passport holders residing in India, not in the UAE. From Dubai, the route we can confirm is a B2 visa application through the Embassy of Israel and VFS. Check before you pay anyone.

Where is the Israel embassy for visas in the UAE?

The Embassy of Israel to the UAE is in Abu Dhabi. Its consular page lists the visit visa and the ETA-IL. The VFS page for the UAE does not name a city for its centre, so confirm where to attend when you book.

How long does an Israel visa take for a UAE resident?

The embassy aims to process applications within 15 working days, according to VFS. Some nationalities take up to 60 calendar days. Apply well before your flight and do not buy a ticket until the visa is issued.

What is the ETA-IL for Israel?

It is an electronic travel authorisation for visitors from visa-exempt countries, required before the flight. It costs NIS 25, is answered within 72 hours, lets you stay up to 90 days per visit and is valid up to two years or until the passport expires.

Is it safe to travel to Israel from Dubai right now?

Check your own government's advice. The UK FCDO advises against all travel to Gaza, the area near the Gaza border and northern Israel, and against all but essential travel to most of the West Bank. Its latest update mentions possible flight cancellations.
