Many UAE residents can fly to the Philippines without a visa, but the rule follows the passport and not the residence permit. UK government advice gives British citizens 30 days visa-free, with a free eTravel QR code registered within 72 hours of arrival. Stays can be extended inside the country. We check your passport, handle eTravel and file extensions.
What we could read, and what we could not
The Department of Foreign Affairs pages that list visa-free nationals blocked our server, including the Dubai consulate's page. So the passport-by-passport table is the one thing we cannot print as fact. What we did read, from the Bureau of Immigration, the eTravel site and UK government advice, is below. If your passport is not British, we confirm your exact rule from the foreign ministry before you book.
That matters because a wrong guess costs a lot. An airline can refuse to board you, or an officer can refuse entry on arrival.
The entry classes the Bureau of Immigration names
In its FAQ the Bureau of Immigration describes the ways a non-visa nationality is admitted:
- E.O. 408, as amended: an initial stay of 30 days.
- Temporary visitor's visa: 59 days.
- E.O. 191: 7 days.
- Visa on arrival schemes: for example 30 days for group tours and pro-investment visitors.
So the first number on your stamp is not the same for everyone. Ask which class your passport falls in. Indian passports are reported at 14 days with conditions. We could not verify that, so we do not state it as a rule.
eTravel: free and not optional
eTravel is the Philippine electronic travel declaration, run by the Bureau of Immigration. The site says "eTravel is FREE". UK advice says you need the QR code from a registration made in the 72 hours before arrival, and that some airlines will not let you board without it.
Lookalike sites charge for this. The official one is etravel.gov.ph. Register once per trip, with the dates and flight number you really travel on, and take a screenshot as well as keeping the QR code on your phone.
Costs you may meet
| Item | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Visa-free stay, British citizens | No visa fee, up to 30 days | UK government advice |
| eTravel registration | Free | etravel.gov.ph |
| Cash you may bring in | Up to 50,000 Philippine pesos | UK government advice |
| Foreign currency to declare | Above 10,000 US dollars | UK government advice |
Checked . Extensions carry Bureau of Immigration fees. The pages we read did not give the amounts, so we do not quote them.
What Dubai agencies charge
Only one Dubai agency price for a Philippines visa was readable when we checked, so there is no range. If an agency quotes you, ask which entry it is for and what government fee is inside it.
Staying longer than 30 days
You extend inside the Philippines, not from Dubai. The Bureau of Immigration says to file seven days before your current stay ends, and that someone can file for you with a Special Power of Attorney. Do not wait for the last day, because an overstay is a serious matter. UK advice says it can bring fees, fines, detention if you cannot pay, and deportation at your own cost.
After a long tourist stay there is one more step. If you held a tourist visa and stayed six months or more, the Bureau requires an Emigration Clearance Certificate before you leave.
Documents to carry
- A passport that is valid for the full stay. Ask us the exact validity your airline wants.
- The eTravel QR code, saved offline.
- Proof of return or onward travel.
- A hotel booking or the address of your host.
- Your Emirates ID, or the residence details, in case the airline asks where you live.
- Cash within the limits above, and the foreign currency form if you go over.
Children travelling without a parent have extra rules. UK advice says non-Filipino children aged 14 or under travelling without either parent must have a waiver of exclusion ground for entry. Ask us early if that is your case.
How it works with us
Send your passport copy and dates on WhatsApp or the form here. An adviser tells you which entry class applies, fills in eTravel with you so the details match your ticket, and flags anything that needs more time, such as a child travelling alone. If you need an extension later, we prepare the file for the Bureau of Immigration. You see one total price in writing before you pay. DubaiVisaDesk.com is a private visa service, and the Philippine authorities decide entry and any visa.
Philippine immigration fees are not refunded after a refusal. Before you pay, your adviser says in writing which part of our price, if any, would come back.
