Dominica visa for UAE residents

We check your passport against Dominica's own entry lists before you book, and prepare any visa file if you are not on them. Many passports enter visa-free.

We check your passport rule before you book

Last updated

Dominica sets its rule by passport, not by where you live. Its government lists nationalities that enter without a visa for six months, others for three months, and a 21 day rule for tourists with a return ticket. We read your passport against these lists and, if you are outside them, prepare the visa request.

The lists, as the government states them

Stay without a visa Who
Up to six months Commonwealth nations, CARICOM states, the USA, and Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia
Up to three months Includes Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, China, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom
Up to 21 days Transit passengers or genuine tourists with a return ticket

Source: Dominica government page, checked . The page is undated and gives no visa fees or steps. The UAE is not on it.

Haitians and citizens of the Dominican Republic need a visa, says the Discover Dominica entry page. Visitors staying under 24 hours, including cruise passengers, do not.

What this means for common UAE passports

Commonwealth membership covers many passports found in the UAE, such as India, Nigeria, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, but the page does not name them. We do not promise it. We check with the Dominica immigration department before you book. The Philippines and Egypt are not Commonwealth members and are not in the lists we read, so the 21 day rule or a visa applies.

At the border

Immigration asks for a valid passport, a return ticket, enough money and a local address. UK advice adds 6 months of passport validity, a yellow fever certificate if you come from a risk country, an 86 East Caribbean dollar departure tax and a declaration for cash of 10,000 East Caribbean dollars or more.

Embassy in the UAE

Dominica's embassy in Abu Dhabi serves its own citizens. Its services page lists no visas. Dominica sits far from the UAE, so most flights connect through Europe or North America, and your transit passport rules count too. Read the Schengen visa from Dubai page if you connect in Europe.

How it works with us

Send your passport page and route. An adviser checks the lists, confirms with immigration where the page is silent and gives you a written answer with one total price for any filing. We are a private visa service, and Dominica decides who enters.

If a visa is refused, fees paid to the authority are not returned. Your adviser states in writing before payment what part of our total would be.
