Dominican Republic citizens need a visa before they fly to the UAE. The foreign ministry lists the country as visa required. For a trip, a licensed Dubai company files a GDRFA tourist visa: AED 210 for 30 days, AED 315 for 60 days, single entry. We prepare that file.
Is a visa exemption coming?
The Dominican embassy in the UAE says on its agreements page that it is working to obtain a visa exemption agreement for Dominican passports to enter the UAE. It gives no timeline. Until the UAE list changes, you apply for a visa. Dominican media coverage of the president's visit to Dubai in did not mention a visa deal.
Fees
A single entry tourist visa from GDRFA costs AED 210 for 30 days and AED 315 for 60 days, VAT included. Two entries or more for 30 days is AED 315. GDRFA's service pages, checked .

Your embassy
The Dominican Republic has an embassy in Abu Dhabi, with diplomatic relations dating from . It is open Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, and gives consular services to Dominican citizens. The embassy puts the community in the UAE at about 1,200 residents.
What the file needs
Bring a passport with 6 months left, a scan of the photo page, a white-background photo, an exit ticket and health cover that works in the UAE. If you are visiting family, add the host's Emirates ID and residence visa.
